I can easily make up some election results, in detail and with maps, if you want. What electoral system are we using?

Leading party by district, canton, ward, cantref or whatever:

This is really just a pilot and doesn't matter much. Districts are not equal population, this is not supposed to be an FPTP election etc. The Franco areas were a bit of a problem for one or two reasons. Patterns mainly based on the stuff Colin wrote (very helpful in some areas, not so good in others) and stuff from the Party threads (ditto). A lot is totally random.
Anyway, hope to get the useful maps up tomorrow.

What did you use to make this?

I can't imagine the Labours doing well in Robera and the Conservatives holding constituencies in LeGran.

They do well in the white North.

These are not constituencies. They are sort-of like counting districts and have been drawn up to look like they might have been drawn by a pen-pushing bureaucratic idiot.

When are the next maps coming?

And what program do you use to make them?

Things are pretty uniform, but there are a few Portuguse minority outposts etc. Most areas are strongly one or the other the further east you go.

PS - It's more of a linguistic rather than ethnic map. It's first language (ie spoke at home)

Oh, wow. Smiley

New idea:

Let's have 5 constituencies. That way, we can have each major party run a candidate in each constituency. We can also have 8 list seats as a collorary, elected through a "list" not submitted by the party, but rather consisted of the candidates from each party closest to being elected. The constituencies would use IRV.
