Yes.

In addition if I found out my kid had a Scientologist teacher I would call the school and demand that my kid be removed from that class and lead a campaign to have the teacher fired.

of course not. Their religious views, however dumb and misguided, don't deserve a boycott.

Keep in mind that by giving them money you're giving them more money to give back to your cult. So you are funding Scientology in a way.

Of course not.  Someone's religion is no reason to boycott a store, and it is no reason to try and get a teacher fired.  Don't be such a bigot.

Probably not, but it would depend on the type of business and whether I had to listen to the Scientology nonsense to do business there.

I do not like the Church of Scientology.  I do not like bigots even more than I do not like the Church of Scientology.

Only if that individual was also involved in the church's more unscrupulous activities. If he was simply a member of the rank and file people who were gulled into it, then no. My beef with the Church of Scientology is how it treats its members and its critics - if they cleaned up their act like the Free Zone practitioners of Scientology they'd just be another group of religious people who follow something that was made up.

BRTD, the type of bigotry you endorse is harmful to the movement against Scientology. It gives them the ability to legitimately claim their religion, and not their organization and its practices, is being discriminated against.

If it's the CoS. Tongue

My mom's boss is a Scientologist, BTW. She's also a nice person.

But like I said, if you give money to a Scientologist, you are indirectly funding the organization. I don't want a penny of mine eventually finding its way back to that cult. That's the reason why. As for my kid being taught by a Scientologist, I don't want my kid's head being filled with that garbage.

Serious question to BRTD:  Are you pretending to be an uber-religious bigot to make a point about something or are you really this hateful?

If it's a public school the Scientologist teacher wouldn't be allowed to preach Scientology just as a Christian teacher wouldn't be allowed to preach Christianity. So unless the Scientologist teacher is teaching Scientology you have no grounds for complaint.

Besides, if you have a kid I guarantee that his or her head will be filled with garbage regardless, considering your irrational hatreds and obsessions.

If I'm bigoted then what's Germany? The government there monitors Scientology similar to minotoring of the mob and terrorist groups and might ban it.

Germany is monitoring the Church of Scientology as an organization, not individuals. The organization known as the Church of Scientology is indeed not a religious organization - it's a business out to make money. The German government is not going to ban Scientology, but they might ban the organization known as the Church of Scientology. However, there are groups of Scientologists who do not follow the worst practices of the CoS and practice Dianetics and whatnot independently. The CoS basically labels these people as heretics. Such groups would not be banned because they do not follow criminal practices, much in the same way that Al Queda is labelled an illegal terrorist group but the practice of Islam is perfectly legal.
