Before anyone knows the outcome of the March 4 primaries in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont, do you believe that Obama will take Clinton out with these primaries?

Thoughts?

I think she will win Ohio and Rhode Island, and she therefore will stay in the race, so she will technically still be in rather than out until Pennsylvania.

Not sure, but I hope not -I earnestly hope that this contest between the two will have to be decided at the Democratic National Convention itself.  I ultimately expect Obama will come out on top, but hopefully not without a brokered convention.

She is strongest in Ohio and Rhode Island, and could win the Texas primary but not get much delegate traction out of it because of the caucuses. She can no longer compete in any caucus, it seems.

I would hope she would get out unless the delegate situation coming out of Ohio and Texas look very favorable for her.

Having the contest drag on is not a bad thing for Democrats as long as things stay mostly positive.

whether the campaign is positive or not, it gives Obama the chance to build up campaign infrastructure around the country. John Kerry didn't do that at all until the fall and look how badly it hurt him.

Unless Clinton sweeps the March 4th primaries, I think it may be the end of the road for her.

I doubt Hillary will give up until May or June at the earliest.

depending on how March 4 goes, she might not have much of a choice. She risks becoming increasingly irrelevent if she's knocked out of the race with no money and no mathematical way of closing the gap.

Either way, I somehow suspect you may be right in that she'll keep going as long as she possibly can.

If she loses TX her husband might convince her to call it quits. Even he said its do or die in Texas.

I could totally be wrong of course, but my gut tells me he'll win Texas and Vermonet, she'll win Ohio, but only by about 5 points, same with RI. Obama will get more delegates and Clinton will be done. She'll suspend her campaign and hld on to her delegates for a while, possibly seeing if she can work a VP deal which Obama will not be receptive to.

I think Obama will win Texas which will finally put any end to the notion that Clinton can or should be the nominee.

Well as a McCain supporter, yeah, that'd definitely be the best thing for your candidate. A bloody fight all the way to the convention floor.

I think that if Obama wins Texas and Vermont, Clinton will drop out. If she can win at least 3 out of the 4 including the two big ones, she likely stays on until 4/22 in Pennsylvania at least.

I voted yes since I expect Obama will win Texas, at least in terms of delegates.
