Vermont exit poll:

Obama 61.8%
Clinton 36.6%

More likely to win in November: 71% Obama, 26% Clinton
Most qualified commander in chief: 50% Obama, 43% Clinton
66% says Clinton has clear plan, 59% Obama

Clinton does better in debate watchers

Interestingly, Obama did better among those making under $50,000 in Vermont than over.

60-38 among white Vermont Democrats, AKA Vermont Democrats.

Otherwise deeply boring.

Al Giordano does some math:

I just did that same math, and came up with the same thing.  We'll see if the exit polls hold up (early exit polls overestimated Obama in VT, after all...)

CNN still has their countdown thing up, so it didn't seem like it.

They're definitely not delaying exit polls until Steubensville is done Wink

I don't think they're legally obligated to hold them until the state closure time, which is still in eight minutes.  Maryland was a different situation, since it was the entire state.

Is that the place where they're allowing provisional ballots for ten days, or something?

Yes (not provisional ballots, though, those are something different...just ballots in general)

I just heard it from Brokaw on TV. They tied among economic voters, Obama leads among Iraq voters and Clinton leads among healthcare voters.

Sounds more like a narrow Clinton win to me, but it depends on how heavy the latter two categories went.

Err, Ohio is starting to report.  60-38 Clinton with a few precincts from Hancock and Pickaway counties.

Twenty six percent of voters voted on Iraq, 22% on health care.

In Texas?

It may come down to early votes, then.

I guess it depends on the early votes, then, and how well Clinton has the healthcare issue going for her.

I'd say that Obama is favored in Texas, though, but not by much.

Early numbers look good for Obama.

On the other hand, these are probably early voters.  Caveat emptor.  Clinton should improve.

By the way, in case it isn't clear, the Texas SoS sucks with results and there is way more than 1% in.  Tongue
