He did O.K in the Dairylands (Dem) and around Green Bay (GOP) as well though.
It's interesting to note that he usually does best in GOP areas (look at VA or SC)
Edwards won the urban areas, Kerry won the rural vote.

Why are all these labor unions endorsing pro-NAFTA Kerry?

In Virginia, he did best in parts of the ninth district, right? Since when is that a Rep area? In Tennessee too, he did best in the central part of the state, ie the area where there still are rural white Democrats.
But elsewhere, it's true.
He did best in the part of VA that borders WV.

That's true... although he did do O.K in the Shenadoah Valley (traditionally a moderate GOP area).
He did best in Appalachia in general... except for the Clinches.

BTW since when were the Dairylands urban?
Edwards won the Milwaukee area, that's what I meant by urban.
