We know what happened.  We all saw it on TV.

The Pentagon was not shown to the public.

The way I figure it, it's a win-win scenario. If nothing suspicious pops up when they re-investigate the strange parts, then the 911 Truthers will finally shut up. If something suspicious does pop up when they re-investigate, then we have a public distrustful of their government.

Right, because these things are free!

We should also have them investigate the Moon landings, water dowsing, ghosts, Roswell and Big Foot.  It's all the same BS.

Good point. I would not support taxpayer money to have another investigation. However, I'm sure that there would be more than enough Alex Joneses and Michael Moores and Cindy Sheehans that would be willing to fund an investigation with their own personal fortunes.

However, I would just like to point out that I don't believe the US government was behind 911. However, with headlines like "Bin Laden Determined to Strike America" mere weeks before the attacks, there is reason to be suspicious of why the government didnt do more to prevent it from happening.

There are literally thousands of reasons to dislike and distrust this government and you people latch on to this?

I should point out that in my year and a half as a member of this forum, this is the first time I've mentioned a second 911 commission. I've been criticizing the federal government on tons of other issues. I don't obsess over 911.

Yes - as well as the Kennedy assassination.  I believe the current 9/11 findings, but not Kennedy, but looking at it again after 7 years can't hurt.

Shall we also investigate whether the 1969 Moon landings actually happened?

No, because no one died as a direct result of the moon landing, whereas 3,000 people died as a direct result of 9-11.

Once again, none of those things actually killed anybody. 3,000 people died as a direct result of 9/11.

That, and it was already thoroughly investigated - by the Soviets.  We were in the middle of the Cold War - do you really think that they didn't have their top analysts investigating our moon landing?

I never said I believed any of those conspiracy theories. Only morons think we didn't land on the moon.

...or that more than one guy shot JFK, or Bush was behind 9-11, or it was pre-planted explosives that brought down buildings that day, or a missle into the Pentagon, or 80mpg cars being kept down by big oil....

I suppose that JFK's head going in the opposite direction of the bullet doesn't arouse any suspicion in you? Or the pre-911 ties between the Bush and Bin Laden families? Or the fact that only three buildings in the entire history of mankind collapsed due to fire? The latter two I agree with you.
