Reading some of these names that Democrats have listed makes me laugh.  William Cohen, Olympia Snowe, Tom Ridge?  What do all three of these people have in common?  They are all liberal Republicans.  I'm not surprised Democrats would advocate more liberal choices, but I think it's fanciful to believe these people have a good shot at being chosen.

To call Tom Ridge a liberal Republican is pretty laughable. He may be more moderate but he's in no way a liberal.

Agreed, and he would be big plus for McCain in delegate rich PA.

Uh, I don't think McCain needs to worry about delegates.  Wink

Maybe you meant voter rich PA. I still don't see Ridge as being much of a positive here. And to address the earlier point, Ridge is a moderate, not a liberal, but he wouldn't be acceptable to a good chunk of the GOP base.
