I'm not a big television watcher but I listen to radio.......I've heard Obama ads frequently in Pittsburgh on the radio but no Hillary ones so far.

The gist of the ads is - Obama doesn't take PAC money or cater to special interests/lobbyists etc......no policy type ads

Not surprising; he wins over Republicans mostly on clean government, not on other policy.

Going for the Republicans in a closed primary doesn't seem like the greatest idea. Wink

Interesting. When certain... events... of sixteen years ago are considered it's not really surprising though. But interesting all the same. Will also be interesting to see if this reduces the margins in certain parts of the state.

Governor Bugsy will not be happy about this.  No Casey-Clinton love loss though, you're right.

The areas of the state Casey tends to be strongest with his white working class democrats, the area Clinton is strongest with as well, so this could help Obama somewhat with them.  But in the end I don't think this will help Obama all that much more than Rendell & company will help Clinton in SEPA

Radio ads I heard today:

Power 99 (local rap station) - Obama reading off his proposals aimed at students and single working mothers.

Oldies 98 (local oldies station) - Hillary ad with a bunch of military generals stressing experience. One of them says how he "admires charisma" but that's not what this is about or something like that. The ad featured Wesley Clark.

I thought you'd be sympathetic toward him considering how the Clintons treated his father.

Why would little Casey care about that? He openly embraced the same people who wanted the Clintons to deny his father the speaking role. His endorsement makes even less sense if that was his reasoning! The guy is a joke.

Just saw an Obama TV ad. He's at a gas station talking about rising prices. It was ok but his clothing choice was odd (he had on a shirt and tie with a grey overcoat).

He also said gas was $3.50 (it's $3.11).

Rep.  Jason Altmire (the scum who defeated Melissa Hart) and the Service Employees International Union here in PA have also endorsed the Big O.

I know we have a separate polling section, but for anyone who doesn't view it often.....Clinton is only up by 5 points on the Big O in PA

Just got back from Hershey.  I saw one Obama sign and no Clinton signs.  I saw ads for Clinton on local stations, but none for Obama (this is the Susquehanna media market).

If this nutcase is serious about running in 2010 and somehow wins that primary, I'll be thrilled. Absolutely thrilled.

There are a few others on my list before Schweiker but he'd be an excellent choice, too.

I think you know at least two names that I'll give.  Wink

There are also some state leaders (well, one in particular) who are considering it that I'd absolutely love to see run. It's still up in the air as to whether or not they're going to do it though.
