You can't deny that "write-in candidate wins election" looks stupid?

I most certainly can... It's very odd for a write-in candidate to win an election... Only other person to do that was StevenNick and that was awhile ago. So it's a big deal

Of course I might be bias here because I feel it is a right to not be forced to choose between declared candidates and not have another option.

According to the first post in the Midwest vote thread, voting in that election closed at Noon Central Time.  This election is over.  PBrunsel wins.

Actually Texasgurl was a write-in candidate when she won her Senate seat back in April.

StevenNick was write-in?  I don't recall that.

StevenNick was write-in?  I don't recall that.

Yes he was, Lewis was uncontested I believe and Stevennick started a write-in campaign, the two tied and there was a new election with both on the ballot.
