They undersampled women.

Gregoire will win this by 5-10 points in the end. She's given the people of Washington State no reason to fire her.

The Sonics ordeal has me worried. She'll get unfairly blamed for it.

It might hurt her with men, but women vote more.

I expect the polls to play out like the McCaskill-Talent race.

It would be hilarious if she just barely won again. Then Rossi could do his crybaby act again.

Rossi is definitely a crybaby. He tried to steal the election and failed. I was very proud to see democracy triumph in my state in 2004.

You don't really understand what happened in 2004 at all, do you?

My predictions:

WASHINGTON PRESIDENT -
55% (D) Obama
43% (R) McCain

WASHINGTON GOVERNOR -
52% (D) Gregoire
45% (R) Rossi

I think McCain would do at a minimum just as well as Bush did in 2004. McCain is a better fit than Dubya was, not that he'll win it or anything but it'll still be in the "Lean Democrat" category

LOL Sorry but while McCain is better for the republicans of suburbia washington he definately won't be more popular east of the mountains (Bush probably was actually a good fit for Eastern Washington Republicans which basically are the republican party in Washington). Also I can definately make the arguement that Obama is a much, much better fit for Washington than Kerry was in 2004, Washintonians really don't care for east coast elitists which he was one of (we voted for him though because the other option was even worse).

People love Obama in the Eastside (i live here), and this is the main swing vote region. I'm hoping his coattails will bring Darcy Burner into the House. Virtually everyone here seems to agree on who should be president.

Do they like Chicago elitists?

Look at the results for the 2004 gubernatorial race.  See how many counties in which Cold Mean Woman performed better against Guy in Suit, than Boring Massachusetts Man performed against Folksy Yokel.

Bush was a good candidate in many parts of eastern Washington.

Gregoire will win this.  No one likes a loser; it took Al Gore years to get over that.
