I don't think it is an outlier, if it showed Obama winning by 2% or more then it would be an outlier. The race in NC will be close right now because Obama is has ads all over the tv and McCain don't.

Uhh are you kidding me? NC only voted for bush by 13 points and it has a growing white liberal population mixed with a large black pop. I dont think democrats will win the state this year but I will not be surprised if it is within 5 points.

Well the posited growth rate of this white liberal population cohort would have to be at the rate of an aggressive metastasized cancer to move the state numbers in 4 short years into double digit adjacent territory.

NC is growing at an outstanding rate. Most of the people are from the North, aka white liberals.

Actually a good chunk of them are probably Rockefeller Republicans, turned Democrats the second they get into North Carolina, but yeah almost all of the new residents of NC are Democrats.
