poll shows Bush only losing 3% of Rebublicans and Kerry losing 15% of Dems......and yet only a 3 pt difference overall.  I'll never understand their methodology over there.

Party ID in poll is "about"

Dems 39
GOP  32
Ind    29

RV poll, with too many dems and still Bush +3.

+7 Democratic sample is pretty good for an LA Times poll isn't it?

Only 3% too democratic in the sample.

In this olympic season I think the LA Times set a "personal best"

Still, I don't trust the LA Times.  I think it's a setup to make sure Bush's post convention bounce isn't too large.

I do find it mildly odd they would put this out.

BTW, I do actually think Bush is up around 2 nationally, since RV polls have it tied and those lean Dem a bit. The state results are mixed but don't disprove the notion.

AgCat, I agree. I believe this is a setup, just wait until after the convention. Front page story will be "No Bush Bounce in Polls"

If L.A. Times says Bush plus 3 I wonder what a good polling firm would say...

Unless of course it's a set up as agcat and reds have said.

BTW REDS! It's good to see you sporting an avatar!

The poll is a national one done by the Los Angeles Times newspaper.  It is not a poll of Los Angeles or Louisiana or any other state/city abbreviated by "LA".

I'm sure a major Media outlet would never do any such thing Roll Eyes

The headline will be something like "Bush drops 10% in Polls after Convention" Grin
