I LOLed myself. I wonder who voted for Gore? The possibilities are endless......

Obama's nomination is in the bag and yet Hillary still isn't dropping out yet, but that was expected.

As someone who thought Clinton would get it all this time I must now concede that Barack Obama shall be the nominee.  Better late then never, I suppose.

I think, if asked, I would have said two thing about a year ago:

1.  Clinton would be the nominee.

2.  Obama would be a stronger candidate in the general.

Now I'll say:

1.  Obama will be the nominee.

2.  Clinton will be a stronger candidate in the general.

It's Obama

but the best thing for the Democratic party to do now is to dump both of them and settle on Edwards. Sure you'll have the Obama supporters cry for a while...and the Hillary people won't be happy either. But I think everybody can rally around the one democratic candidate then instead of having blacks sit the election out, or whites defect to McCain.

I don't know, you'd need a pretty good reason to take it from Obama at the moment. I think that no matter what happens now, if Obama does not get the nomination many of his supporters won't come out. Even if you gave it to Gore, I think that many Blacks would consider that some kind of crooked "backroom deal" to deny a Black man the nomination. Many of them would be furious, and I don't think Barack would be too happy either.
