Yes, I'm for it. BUT--

And this is an important but. You cannot have it both ways. If it's society's job to 'take care' of people with welfare, free health care, and whatever else the hell (50 years from now, we'll be debating 'house care'), then society doesn't want to pay for people's gambling habbits.

It's just like smoking. Sure, I think it should be legal. But when government is responsible for your health, you are living under a very dangerous system indeed--because whatever you take in is now open to government dictation.

You cannot expect people to "take care" of you without giving up your freedom. Same with friends and family, same with government.
