Why not? She is very popular with the feminists and we have no shortage of them here.

Get back to me when I start fainting when he speaks and cheering when he blows his nose. Seriously, it makes you look like a fool when you try to pull this Messiah stunt when it comes to McCain when you are an Obama supporter. On these forums you will receive a lot of support and popularity, but pretty much no where else.

Is it, for example, more foolish than a person who berates a Clinton supporter for apparently representing all the faults of a typical Obama supporter?

I am not an Obama supporter. I am a Hillary supporter and a Democrat. Those unfavorable numbers look just about right.

Why in the world would far-right Republican John McCain have positive favorables in a state like California?

No gates, and it is quite  annoying as a consequence to have unwelcome vendors pushing your door bell and dumping trash on your front door, which I open about once a month to survey the array of the detritus.

'far right John McCain"?

I can truly say without hesitation that this is the first time I've ever heard John McCain described as "far right".

As far as California goes I fully expect McCain to lose California by 12 to 13 points.  I've never heard any political pundit  of any note say that McCain had any chance of making California competitive.

Yes, John McCain is far-right.
Duke stop having dreams about california. It ain't flippin'

Where did I ever say I thought California would flip? Obama will win it by 10-12 points.

McCain's favorables are incredibly low in this poll.

Orange county is not as uniformaly rich or conservative as you think. CAli would be better off if it was just the bay area. Lots and lots of good paying jobs, stunning vistas everywhere, low racial tensions and an overall liberal environment where you will be left alone to do your own thing. Orange county on the other hand consists of very rich areas contrasted with barrios like Santa ana and other working class areas like south fullerton and anaheim. What saves the republicans are the anti-communist asians that live in westminster and Garden grove.
