The DNC will meet in Washington DC at 8:30 Central Time (9:30 Eastern) this morning.

Apparently, the committee also met till almost 2:00 am this morning after 5 hours only to arrive at no conclusion.

Not nearly as much as Wexler.

What the heck was that last exchange between Ickes and Wexler about "fair reflection"?  What's "fair reflection"?

I just tuned in but I think Wexler's doing a pretty good job.

Ickes, on the other hand, is slime.

Why was Phillip Seymour Hoffman representing the DNC?

(I've been waiting for like 15 minutes to get online to make that awful joke.  Appreciate it)

Wexler with an impassioned speech - he's stealing the show.

Obama campaign agreed to let Florida count for half. Nelson said he'd be on board as well, and the Clinon Rep said she'd like all but could live with half. The only remaining disagreement seems to be whether superdelegates should have full or half votes.

Then a bunch of Clinton supporters on the Committee and in the crowd got angry and pissy.

Ahh, thx. Good, Good. I could live with 50-50. Do you know when the Committee will vote on the issues ?

They were planning to hear all arguments in the morning and then go to lunch at 12:30. It's 12:30 right now and they just started Michigan. So they're running a bit behind.

One they finish Michigan I suspect they'll break for lunch (maybe not depending on how long this takes), but then the afternoon debate and voting could go well into the evening some are saying. Yesterday I heard someone guessing that it'll go through Sunday.

What's the breakdown of Obama and Clinton supporters on the committee? Everyone that I've heard minus one or two people seem to be the latter.

Something like twelve Clinton, ten Obama with the rest uncommitted. I'm not sure of the exact numbers.

I think I heard Clinton support at 13 the other day. The Clinton supporters are more vocal and angry though.

Mark Brewer's voice sounds a bit like Jack Kemp.

I read on Ambinder's blog that Carl Levin will be speaking at some point today (he hasn't already, has he?).  Can't wait to see the fireworks over IA & NH's priveleged status when that happens.

Levin is next, representing the State of Michigan.

I know that David McDonald guy!  He's one of my grandfather's neighbors.  I knew he was a big lawyer but didn't know he was a DNC guy.

I thought the committee was more lopsided toward Clinton, like 13-8.

Carl Levin (Sr. Senator from Michigan), David Bonior (Fmr. Congressman from Michigan, Fmr. Minority Whip), and James Blanchard (Fmr. Governor of Michigan) will all be speaking today, from what I've read. Interestingly, both Bonior and Blanchard lost the 2002 Democratic gubernatorial primary to Granholm, who was one of the major players behind moving up Michigan.

The problem here is that Florida is a-ok with getting half votes, but Michigan isn't and there's the problem with Uncommitted. And then Florida isn't going to want to get a worse deal than Michigan which will cause them to want to renegotiate...

F**ck you Michigan. Take your half votes and be happy.
