MiamiU--lets use this space to talk about setting up the election.  Are we going to have the election 20-22 or are we letting it run through the 22d.  Just some clarification.

Then of course we will need to set up a thread to have people vote openly to have fairness in registered members.

If you have any thoughts of things we need to do, lets opent he dialogue.

Oh and we should label the election vote thread with the election dates.

The unspecified AFDNC official agrees with the above points by the AFRNC chairman... Wink

Sounds good.  I'll make the thread on Friday to open it and you can declare the polls closed.

Any disputes ( which I don't forsee) we will decide together.

Starting Noon EST on 2/20 and ending Noon EST on 2/22.

Can we do write-ins just to be difficult and generally uncooperative?

Are we allowed to vote for the Prez on one ticket and the Veep on the other ticket?

Pete

Both parties nominated their Pres and Veep together......this isn't the electoral college...you vote for a party ticket with both Pres and Veep. (Unless the Chairman's disagree....but I wouldn't imagine they would.)

It depends. . . Are you talking about Nym90/Demrepdan or Supersoulty/Harry? Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley
No really, now, I don't think you can do that.

I like Pete's idea, it would be kind of cool if we got one VP and another President... Smiley

I would be for the position that it is just like a regular ballot.  It is near impossible to have a split ( but look at 2000).

So you will have to vote for one ticket.  Agreed MiamiU?

It is possible, but I think MiamiU and I would have to confere and come up with some.  But I would envision, giving the candidates an opportunity to state why to vote for them and a revote.  Or we could go to a game of chance.  Unsure, we will cross that bridge if it occurs.

We could always just let Dave be the deciding vote, heh. He's pretty much the Atlas Emperor.

Then the election should be thrown to the House! Wink

Or Senate in this case....because there is an unofficial Senate here at the forums which I am a member of.

How is the election being held anyway? Is it where everyone makes their vote public....or are we doing a POLL. Please tell me we're not doing a poll.....

But if we're casting our vote out in the open....then this is what I suggest.......we should simply put a POLL in place....where EVERYONE.....registered or not.....can vote. That would be our "House Vote".

But lets hope the election doesn't end in a tie.

I doubt Dave would be interested in this......for two reasons......One....he probably doesn't want to get involved in our game.....and Two......I'm sure he wouldn't want to play partisan politics......and choose one candidate over the other.

You will vote int he open.  No polls people can cheat and unregistered could vote.

You have to vote openly.  I will make a thread tomorrow at noon EST to open the polls and MiamiU will close the polls on Sunday at noon.  Spread the word!

I am off to serve the country this weekend so I may need a GOP sub for the close.  Any GOP?

If you aren't registered, when you open a page with a poll, you just see the current results..... I know as I looked around the forums before I registered and opened a poll and it was like that....
