Funny how just saying "I'm a Republican" is enough to give you a 38% unfavorable rating from the get-go.

Kerry has clearly done what he needs to at home and is now a safe bet for a trouble-free re-election.

I still don't really understand why anyone would go up against someone like Kerry in a primary.

I see O'Reilly is campaigning on the fact that he supports impeachment for Bush/Cheney but Kerry does not.  This will no doubt be a key issue when the Senate reconvenes in 2009.

Kerry hasn't done a damn thing other than "be a Democrat."  Which is all that you need here in Massachusetts, really.

You forgot to include this part of the poll which I found interesting:

Also included in the survey was a question about a potential mystery challenger

If the United States senate election in Massachusetts were held today, whom would you vote for (candidates names swithced)

Sen. John Kerry (D) 42%
Prof. Joel Mahoney (R) 40%

Mahoney, a relative unknown professor from Tufts University, is viewed favorably by 62% of voters, and unfavorable by 14%, the rest said they had not heard of him but were sure he was for real
