Gay marriage opponents need to recognize that this nation isn't a theocracy.

Usually when prompting people to "discuss", it might be best to get the ball rolling by actually stating why you voted yes.

Not that it matters, of course.  This thread is doomed to follow the same path as all of the other gay marriage threads.

Why do you have such a logical position on gay marriage but still believe horrible positions on other social issues? Huh

Gay and a religious rightist. Somehow, I am not surprised. Why doesn't he have a R-MO avatar?

For some reason you don't seem to understand that economic views also influence one's preference of political party. Jesmo is extremely populist. I assume, based on his left-leaning economic views, that he isn't able to go to the republicans.

Why? How do gays being able to marry affect heterosexual relationships?

Because.  If we give "those people" the right to marry, then all the red-blooded, heterosexual, married men in America will start to crave c*ck and will leave their wives to camp out the bath houses and gay bars. Straight marriages will fall apart and new ones will not be created because all the single, heterosexual men will go gay, too.

Remember, gays CHOOSE to be gay.  It's not like they were born that way or anything.  And of course, who wouldn't want to choose a life where you are caricatured, castigated, insulted, assaulted and denied basic human rights?  It's a no brainer.

You must not have been paying attention to Dr. James Dobson or the Reverend Fred Phelps.
