I believe I heard his wife say they ain't leaving.  This wont end well.  Should we go help?  Should the UN?  Should the UK lead the "rescue"?  Are we in the west morally responsible for crap like this?

If Mugabe refuses to give up power, the UN and US may need to intervene.

We should have gotten rid of him a long time ago. And by get rid of, it doesn't necessarily mean kill. Just remove to somewhere he'll never be found.

Okay, go figure out a way for the people of Zimbabwe to overthrow him when they are being detained, beat up, and who knows what else.

And not to mention the ones that are armed, such as the war veterans, are often his rabid supporters doing the detaining, beating up, and who knows what else.

By that time, there won't be anyone left in Zimbabwe...

Yeah, but at the rate Zimbabwe is declining, can you imagine the prices, the food shortages, and the emigration rates in seven years? How many people would stay in Zimbabwe after seven more years of torture?

Almost all of them would.

The world has seen a lot worse. In Zimbabwe, it's the Rhodies who are the worst off. And they form an insignificant minority.

Are you serious?  Zimbabwe has gone to hell thanks to Mugabe; he needs to be removed from power.

I'm saying he's not one of history's worst. And of course I support Tsvangirai and the MDC.

And you claim to oppose the war? Your avatar really does make sense.

Yes, because we've seen how telling them "no" and putting sanctions on them works so well throughout history!

Very true, but they can't overthrow him, because they're all being detained, and tortured, and all other kinds of horrible crap.

LOL.

Zimbabwe is not Stalinist Russia. Nor is it remotely close. The fact that the government actually buys its votes proves that.
