Palin v. Landrieu?  Do you really the Dems will nominate a moderate who is either out of office or barely winning?  BTW, LOL @ NC, GA, and LA voting Dem

LA did in 1992 and 1996. Also by that time, GA and NC will both have around 10 to 11 million people live in them states, Most from up North moving down because the cost of living is lower and the weather is better.
1.) VT has voted Republican more times any state, in fact up until 1992, I don't know the last time they didn't.  Is it going to be a GOP bastion soon?
2.) More people does not equal more Democratic, Georgia is growing a lot and is moving right

GA isn't moving right or left right now, its holding steady, but I see it being more Democratic at the natonal level, but saying republican at the local level. Also  LA would go Democratic because the Mary is from there, and 99% of the time the candidate wins their home state.
1.) No, you can't argue Georgia is not moving to the right, its a fact not an opinion

It isn't anymore. Most of the growth to its suburbs recently hasn't been as Republican, as before and I think it is holding steady now.

That doesn't mean that Rand Paul couldn't get elected in 12 years, just as Reagan couldn't get elected in 1976 let alone 1968
Nope because Libertarianism will never be popular enough to allow for it.

Just as conservatism was not popular enough in 1964?  Or just as Democracy was not too popular before the revolution?  Can I have a look into your crystal ball that tells you how America will feel in 10 years?

America will not support an utter lunatic; therefore, Paul will never win.
Really?  Then how do you explain Barack Obama's rise to power?  Obviously you do not think he will the election if an "utter lunatic" cannot win
Shut up, I don't care what you think about the man, but 75% of the country thinks that Paul's views are those of a lunatic and at the most 40% of the country thinks Obama's views are those of a lunatic.

Because the majority's always right, right? (Except for the War in Iraq, global cooling, the Holocaust, eugenics, Communism, the Inquisition, etc.)
This is about his chances of winning an election not about whether he is right or not.

to 2017       Barack Hussein (D, IL)
2017-2021  Jon Huntsman    (D, UT)
2021-??

I don't have the Party identification wrong on Huntsman; he will have left or been purged from the Republican Party.  By 2018 the Republican Party will have gone the way of the Federalists and Whigs (or States' Rights at the absolute worst; in 1968 one of its few card-carrying members was James Earl Ray). By 2020 the Democratic Party is so unwieldy that it splits into a Social Democratic Party and a Christian Democratic Party as American politics become more ... European.

That's a good point. In most of European countries such people as Brownback, Bush, Coburn of Inhofe would be nothing more than a bunch of fringe politicians without any significance and probably out of any parliament. But in U.S. they are, scary to say, in some way mainstream.

Well, even in Poland in worst case guys like Bush, Coburn or DeMint woule be members of some very fringe, minor party as present League of Polish Families Tongue

The same applies to people like Bernie Sanders, Dennis Kucinich or Barbara Boxer. According to U.S. standarts they are "far-left", but in Europe they'd regular social democrats.

Hmmm... and the US is the most economically successful country at the moment and, if trends continue, will recover from this recession faster than many European countries.

Anyway, the Republicans aren't going anywhere. There's a reason they've survived 150 years.
Not really...
