That has to be the oddest I have ever seen. Say that I may be a hack for my list (In reality I think Obama serving to 2017 and Cuomo succeeding him is equally likely, but seriously, from 2009-2037, a Republican serving only ONCE for one term? That seems very, very, very hackish to me.


Well, the GOP controlled the White House for 20 out of 24 years between 1969 and 1993. Also, here's another possibility that might have occured if Gore won in 2000.
It's very realistic.


Bill Clinton/Al Gore (D): 1993-2001
Al Gore/Joe Lieberman (D): 2001-2005
John McCain/Lamar Alexander (R): 2005-2009
Hillary Clinton/Mark Warner (D): 2009-2017
Mark Warner/Evan Bayh (D): 2017-2021

In this scenario, Democrats control the White House for 24 out of 28 years.
