I am formally announcing that I plan to run for the US Senate seat up for election from the State of Alabama.
I will be running as a write-in candidate, as the ballot-access requirement in Alabama was too much to attempt to overcome.
You may be asking yourself, "why run as a write-in?". The answer is simple, there is almost no difference between the Republicans and Democrats, and I can actually mention issues that are truly important that wouldn't be discussed otherwise. Also, I estimate that between 1-2% of ballots cast this fall will be write-in votes, so, I'm giving the people a name to write-in.
If elected, I will introduce and sponsor the "Read the Bills Act", "Write the laws Act", as well as other legislation that will reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government.

Who are the three largest employers in your state?

What issues facing Alabama do you have unique insight into?

What steps can Congress take to insulate Alabama from the coming recession, and how do you plan to take them?

One of the best ways to reduce the size of the federal government would be to remove some states from it.  Do you support Alabama, along with a contingent of simliar southern states, declaring their independence, and forming a "confederacy" of sorts?

What steps can Congress take to insulate Alabama from the coming recession, and how do you plan to take them?

1) Boeing, Federal Government, States Government (not in order)
2) There are many issues facing everyone, mainly an increasing government and increased reliance on the government. If we do away with these programs (created during the Depression) then people would once again be self reliant.
3) Congress can insulate EVERYONE from the recession by returning to the Gold Standard

I will be doing some campaign events in the larger cities, as well as using any voter guide publicity that I can get. I also have the website and there are many sites linking to it.

Do you plan on getting more votes than Joel Mahoney?

I'm not sure how many votes he got, or what office he ran for, but I plan on getting between 1 & 2% of the vote.

I support independence for all who seek it; the best government is self-government.
To address the best way to reduce the size of the federal government; that would actually be to eliminate the IRS, Federal Reserve and all government programs without Article 1 Section 8 constitutional authority to exist.

So you'd be willing to sacrifice the government jobs and government funded jobs in Alabama?

What are your feelings on the Constitution of Alabama?

Fact: It is the longest Constitution in the world
Fact: It has been amended more than any other document in history

It needs to be re-written, but not by lobbyist and special interests. Also, this is not a federal issue.

Does the Boston Tea Party have an affiliate in Alabama? Also, do you plan on courting Ron Paul primary voters?

1)The State affiliate is Alabama Statesmen.
2)Yes, I plan on courting Ron Paul supporters.

What's your specific gripe with Senator Sessions?

Primarily, he's been in office for too long, and no longer serves the interest of the people; he serves only himself.
Secondarily, he's a big government hack that wants to subvert the Constitution. Which can be seen in this quote from him,
“Some people in this chamber love the Constitution more than they love the safety of this nation."

Sometimes doing the right thing involves sacrifice.

"Official" Results

Vivian Figures (752,391)
Jeff Sessions (1,305,383)
write-ins (2417)
     “counted” write-ins (216)
Darryl W. Perry (14) (not including my own vote)
    uncounted write-ins (2201)

In all, 50 of the 67 Counties didn't record who received a single write-in vote and of the 17 counties that did tabulate write-in votes only Henry County "counted" all write-ins (claiming 12 of the 13 write-in votes were blank).
