Election Loophole-Fixer Amendment (alright we can find a better name)

1. To change the wording in Article I, Section I, Clause 2 of the Constitution from "No Person shall be a Senator who has not attained a hundred or more posts, and is not a registered voter in the District or Region that they represent." to "No Person shall be elected to the senate or serve as a Senator who has not attained a hundred or more posts, and is not a registered voter in the District or Region that they represent at any time from ten days prior the beginning of the election until after their senate tenure is over"

Any opinions?

I think anyone should be able to be a candidate, whether registered or not,  and one can vote for anyone whether registered or not or declared as a candidate. The only restriction would be that one must declare residence in a region to be eligible for senate elections where only that region's voters can vote in the race. Additional restrictions to my mind serve no useful purpose.  The right to vote and the right to run, or be eligible to take office should not be joined at the hip. Voters should be afforded maximum choices. It might make the game more fun, and realistic for that matter.

Just that this only gets half of the problem solved.  The other half is changing the start times of elections from "midnight" to "12:00:01 AM."

That obviously is a needed "clarification."

BBQ Blast!!!

Everyone is invited!!  The campaign is holding a non-stop BBQ as we eagerly await the decision of the SC.  We will have burgers, all-beef hot dogs, sausage, and any condiment you desire.  Come join us as the campaign really has nothing better to do right now as it sits in limbo.

The BBQ has suddenly stopped and everyone is turned to the TV as we have received news that the Supreme Court has made their decision and we should have it any minute.

It seems the reason scandal involving Gporter and Playboy is really the campaign's poll numbers

Any minute is a bit of a stretch, but I'm sure Ernest will have the opinion finalized soon enough.

Well, I'm talking "any minute" in news media time, which usually means hours upon hours Tongue

The decision has been posted and the pundits who predicted how the court ruled will likely be surprised.

I must say, that I'm a little bit surprised, but I do believe that the courts got this 100% correct.

Definitely the best decision that could be made here.

Well, I guess I cannot fault the SC, they made the decision possible to take everything into effect.  Either way, full steam ahead, we will continue to campaign on the fact that this candidacy is the one best suited to breathe life back into Atlasia.  Any questions we will still be taking, and I ask all my supporters to 2nd preference Sam Spade if the region wishes to keep face.

To Hashemite's question: YES

That even includes Public Enemy Numero Uno Barbara Streisdand

Anyway, the campaign will issue a series of attack ads aimed to "fib", "confuse", "misremember", and "tell lies about" Gporter.  (meaning they'll be Gporter's words copied and pasted by then he'll say everyone is setting him up)

BTW, the greatest bill debate ever IMHO

Thank you very much

Also, with Spade's withdrawal, we are encouraging the following ballot:

[ 1 ] DownWithTheLeft
[ 2 ] Bacon King

This is until further notice

I would like to issue a statement on a few issues facing the senate:

*I support the confirmation of Inks to SoFA
*I support the confirmation of Sam Spade to AJ
*I support the call for a Constitutional Convention
