Wow those are really small.

And they should be more protected than that. It wouldn't take that much effort to load those in a van and drive off.

Stranger things have happened with relics, and non-relics. I too am surprised that they haven't been moved by students in a prank situation.  Although in defense of the size of the cannon themselves,  the effectiveness of the artillery pieces does not rely on the size, but rather the caliber, and rifling of the gun tube itself.  Smaller pieces actually do have a slight advantage as they are more mobile  and easier to correct any firing errors, overshoots etc.  Also take into consideration they are not on their original limbers any longer.  Those blocks really do nothing for the appearance.

We never agree on anything and I do think he sometimes doesn't act appropriately to other posters. But, overall, sure you can. I've had several. He's certainly a lot better than many others on here.

StatesRights is a fine poster who I enjoy having conversations with. He knows his stuff, to muse the old press term. However, he may see Jeb Stuart or Nathan Forrest as the greatest cavalry general of the Civil War, but we can just agree to disagree.

Of course, he's very accessible if you don't start with preconceived notions about him.
He seems to be mad at me though, which I can't understand because I don't remember saying anything bad to him, but oh well...

I am the political opposite of StatesRights and i have never had anything but nice friendly conversations with him.
