This is a notice to all voters that a nation wide Senate special election will be held next weekend to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Senator Conor Flynn.

The election will run from 10am, Eastern Time on Thursday July 31st and end at 10am on Sunday August 3rd, 2008.

If you would like to be a candidate, please register in the registration thread, and do so before July 29th at 10am.

Also, just to note that the election will not be certified until I get back from vacation on August 6th, unless someone wants to be my Deputy SoFA.

P.S., I hate you Conor so very much.

Did Inks resign his Deputy SoFA position?  Otherwise, the court case that we're dealing with will solve your problem.

Oh right. I figured his term ended when mine began. Very well then, we'll see how the court case goes.

Ibelieve this notice to be erroneous.

After all, litigation is what makes Atlasia great.

The Proportional Representation (By-Elections) Act. As the additional vacancy occurred before the commencement of the already scheduled by-election, that by-election should have been used to fill both seats. Meaning that both AndrewCT and Al have been elected.

...of course I could always just sue. Holding another by-election being a terrible waste of public money and so on. Hmm. Depends which would be the most fun I guess.

hey, I really have no desire to hold another election, since I'm on vacation next weekend, so I'm only doing it because I feel it is the right thing to do.
