Are the phone polls affected by the Do Not Call List?

(Huge implications, for obvious reasons.)

No

Public opinion surveys are specifically exempted regarding "Do Not Call"

You think politicians would screw up their own polling..? are you nuts..? Wink

"Political" calls such as "get out the vote", campaign calls, etc are also specifically exempted.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but pollsters can not call cell phone numbers?
If so then folks without a landline are not represented in polls (this might include younger voters and Holliwood elites, and trial laywers?)

I believe so, at least it is in Sweden. This should favour Democrats, I guess, but I think weighting takes care of it.
