Michael Moore wants Carolina Kennedy to select.... herself!
http://www.opednews.com/articles/-Caroline-Pull-a-Cheney--by-from-Michael-Moore-080819-372.html

Here's the juicy parts:

As for Governor Kaine of Virginia, his big problem is, well, Obama's big problem -- who is he? The toughest thing Barack has had to overcome -- and it will continue to be his biggest obstacle -- is that too many of the voters simply don't know him well enough to vote for him. The fact that Obama is new to the scene is both one of his most attractive qualities AND his biggest drawback. Too many Americans, who on the surface seem to like Barack Obama, just don't feel comfortable voting for someone who hasn't been on the national scene very long. It's a comfort level thing, and it may be just what keeps Obama from winning in November ("I'd rather vote for the devil I know than the devil I don't know").

What Obama needs is a vice presidential candidate who is NOT a professional politician, but someone who is well-known and beloved by people across the political spectrum; someone who, like Obama, spoke out against the war; someone who has a good and generous heart, who will be cheered by the rest of the world; someone whom we've known and loved and admired all our lives and who has dedicated her life to public service and to the greater good for all.

That person, Caroline, is you.

Michael Moore also signs with an AOL.com email address.

not long ago, i was on another message board and a democrat also suggested the caroline kennedy for vp idea.

Note on Morden's post, the strategist did not say that he would bet his life on Biden, only that if you put a gun to his head he would say Biden.  That's a pretty weak prognosis haha.

Reed wouldn't submit to being vetted.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/steve-clemons/why-radio-silence-can-be_b_119933.html

Wesley Clark and Bill Richardson were not seriously considered according to sources -- and Jack
Reed, who Obama likes a great deal, would not allow himself to be vetted. I don't believe Chris Dodd was high on the list.

but according to the ny times, dodd was vetted.

I must say that Obama is handling this Vice Presidential thing quite well.

The only question is whether everyone is going to wind up being let down by the eventual pick.

no people...obama supporters in particular, wont be let down.

whoever is picked, the media will portray the choice as the best ever.

you can count on that.

i, on the other hand, will be let down.

Is there ANY reason to believe Edwards would be a good choice?

the same could be asked of bayh and biden.

FOX News says that they have houses in front of everyone's home and the VP prospects are all just sitting around waiting for that phone call (or looking like they are, apparently).  They have a crew scrambling to get to Chet Edward's home.

chet was interviewed on cnn not long ago.

i only caught the tail end of it, but it sounded as if he had gotten the 'it isnt you' call.

Was Biden looked at by Gore, Kerry, Clinton and/or Dukakis?

i think kerry looked seriously at him.

Yeah by Walter but that doesn't count.

come again?

and i never speculated that obama would pick lingle.  i asked about her chances with mccain.  phil and other righties said she was 1. jewish and 2., gay, therefore unacceptable to their wing of the party.

i cant believe i waited all day for joe f'ing biden.

by the way, fun fact about biden....according to pat caddell, who is certified nuts these days, biden seriously considered joining the *1984* race for president.  he was on vacation the week of the nh filing deadline but left a signed application with caddell to file if he (biden) was to call and tell him to do so.

in other words, this guy is sooooo yesterday.

yes i know.  that was somewhat understandable.

but the fact that he seriously thought of running against reagan as a young nobody in 84.  the height of arrogance, if you ask me.

then again, he beat an incumbent senator as a 29 year old nobody.

Yeah, he only had 12 years in the Senate at the time....far too little experience to be elected President. Wink

Heck, if he were Obama, he could've run in 1976 if it weren't for that pesky fact that he wasn't legally old enough yet.

But the fact that he got elected to the Senate technically before he was even eligible is pretty amazing (I'm assuming he turned 30 before January 3).

I turn 30 on December 30 this year; I should've mounted my primary challenge to Levin. Wink

im 31.  kerry better be glad i gave him a pass this year.  Smiley

as for biden, im reading through his political positions.  he really isnt too bad.  i like that he supports affirmative action and he received an 'f' from the nra.
