Festivities begin at 3pm local time (5pm Eastern).  Post your running commentary here.

Here's a rough schedule:

http://www.demconvention.com/tuesday-schedule/

(Note that those times are in Mountain Time, so +2 hours for Eastern.)

Mark Warner is supposed to start at about 9:30 Eastern.  HRC starts at 10:30 Eastern, and Chelsea will apparently be introducing her.

Kucinich will also be speaking today.  I wonder if he'll stay on message.

I want some McCain slamming today. Enough of the feel good crap. When will they realize that the best thing to bring to sparing factions together is a common enemy?

Nah, your heart just isn't in it. The below is where your heart is. I just know you have a secret crush on John.  So tonight, what you need to do for self actualization is to just lash away at Hillary, and punish her, and punish her some more. You can do it - yes you can!

If I went over to McCain then I'd be giving her what she wants... another shot in 2012. So, you see, bringing the party together around Obama to defeat McCain would be the best way to say "shove it" to Clinton.

Don't worry even if Obama doesn't win it , it will be Mark Warner in 2012. The hilldawg doesn't even have a chance. But if she gives a good speech I will reconsider.

Mark Warner, the self-described "radical centrist",  is too much of a moderate/and too "boring" to be ever considered the Democratic nominee for 2012.

Having said that, he is pretty much the only speaker I'm looking forward to in this Dem convention.

Yes I think the PUMA's would defeat Warner in 2012 if he wishes to run. If he gets some ridiculous margin in VA while Obama loses, maybe the democratic party will look to him. Depends how he does in the senate I suppose but he will have proven executive experience.

Patterson comes out with wife and child. Perhaps to show he's a family man unlike his predecessor...

I guess there is 0% chance that the media would give coverage to anyone after Clinton and Warner's speeches end, the talking heads will just HAVE to talk about the Clinton drama.

I think it was a good idea to not make Clinton the keynote speaker, that way the press pays attention to two different speeches instead of just one.
