My interpretation of Al's vote was that it was describing Inks, which would be an act of campaigning. If Al insists it wasn't then we don't really have anyway to prove otherwise of course.

Al's ballot never named Inks.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

as such, I don't think there's anyway to prove anything in this case. His ballot must be counted.

If this should come to my court Inks I will be dismissing it for the reasons previously mentioned.

It wasn't conducted following the regulations put down in the new Mideast constitution. It should have been conducted using STV.

Fine, then in order to prove it was me, I am claiming the write-in vote cast by Al.  It will be counted to me, since I'm the first to claim it.  If he protests, he was referring to me.  If he doesn't protest, then he voted for me.

I'm still going to challenge the ruling. Maybe not on the ballot issue but rather that the whole vote is invalid.

So, my appointement of Franzl is null?

No.  You now need to appoint Franzl.

That's what we need to do. However, it seems that Ben is just conveniently avoiding addressing that issue.

I was happy to be appointed, really. But I would be willing to give that up for a re-vote.

Hardly.  I'll open a voting booth in a second, with balloting to start at midnight.  This election will be done correctly.

Why are we revoting?  Just appoint Franzl.  There's nothing wrong with these results.

We're revoting because the wrong system was used in the original election.

You never indicated which system was being used, and you never officially certified the results, because you didn't say you didn't count Al's vote or why.  This election can (and should) still be good.

You never indicated which system was being used, and you never officially certified the results, so no system has officially been used yet.  You can still certify the results using PR-STV.

I'm curious as to why Governor Constine is not counting Senator-elect Al's vote, even though it was perfectly legitmate, more so than the Supreme Court case Gore vs. Bush which took place in December 2000. All the Senator-elect stated in his ballot was that he was voting for somebody that was not a fascist, *cough* Inks *cough* nothing more, nothing less. Silly Ben Constine. Silly, Silly, Silly.

If he counts Al's vote, I've already claimed that write-in vote as my own.
