She's just as qualified as Obama is to be President.

What's her educational background and what did she do before becoming Mayor?

I'm curious how many people can even answer those questions before announcing she's more qualified than Obama...

The former Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska...

The current, first term governor of a state with 600-thousand residents...

The former Miss Alaska....

Versus...

A former editor of the Harvard Law Review...

A former, multi-term state senator in a populous state...

A former community organizer in America's third largest city...

A first term Senator with experience on the Foreign Relations and Armed Services committee...

Obama wins the experience battle, hands down.

But I would still prefer Biden at the top of the ticket.

Thank you.

I looked on Wikipedia, her education was a journalism major from the University of Idaho.

Interestingly, her husband's a Yupik Eskimo.

Let's imagine what she'll look like in 2016:

And now we're comparing degrees and education, lol.

Keep that stiff upper lip, Sam. Smiley

Romney, at least, wouldn't be meeting Democrats for the first time when stepping into the Senate.

To put it most charitably: Obama = Carter the Second.

An interesting line of criticism. You should consider e-mailing it to McCain and the RNC for consideration.

I'd probably be doing the same to other forum members here if I wanted to.  But I'll pass.  Smiley

I'd take that bet, If I didn't value my privacy and my career. No advanced degrees, though.

Watch her on tv now and tell me she projects executive experience. Particularly in contrast to Obama.

She could barely sell real estate.

Why? Just because she's a woman?

Nobody actually knows who she is.

People didn't know Barack or Bill Clinton at the beginning either...

Then following this speech, she'll be ready for Prime Time by 2011.

No they weren't.  Obama started running for President when people couldn't even properly pronounce his name.  Even Dick Durbin said so last night.

They all started in the previous election cycle. Palin has two months.

Vice President

Most people have no clue who most VP picks are, when they are chosen.  The average voter didn' know who Joe Biden was, until a few days back.

If you think it's a bogus comparison, take it up with the people who introduced the idea that Obama and Clinton were relevant, not me.

It's funny, I can pretty much guarantee that if Schweitzer had been picked, people like me would be defending him, while people like you would laugh him off as a hick in a stupid tie who had no clue what he was doing and whose executive experience was a joke.

Governor of one of the least populated states there are..... this thought makes me wonder.

President Bush was Governor of the second most populated state. Would everyone agree that he's been a good President?

True, but a way out of that argument is that the Governor of Texas doesn't really do anything and Bush has always had handlers and mentors to take care of business. The Governor of Alaska does seem to do executive things, it's just on a very small scale.
