Yes, and I think we should have been more involved in it.

Yes, and we should have stayed there and not bothered with Iraq until we were 'done'.

Support 100%.

The Taliban are pure evil. Afghanistan was also basically a terrorist run state before we toppled the Islamic Fundamentalists.

Eeeh? Western participation there started after 9/11.

I support the war 101%. I don't know many people even in Finland who are really against it.

We should help Afghan government more than we do now. More troops, more aid.

I know. I meant to say that a campaign against the Taliban was always desirable, but 9/11 made it absolutely necessary. I was talking from a basis of principle more than anything.

Oppose. Bush misled us into Afghanistan for political gain. For one, they said Osama was there...and yet, here we are, three years later, and we sure haven't found him.

The only logical conclusion is that Osama never existed and Bush brought us to war in Afghanistan because he hates Muslims.

My line was tongue in cheek, a slight against all the people who forgot about Afghanistan while getting al heated up about Iraq.  It is also a play on words of an American TV ad that advertises prok as "the other white meat."

Bush should have been invading real terrorist countries, like Iraq. Afghanistan was probably because he hates Muslims.

I definately supported it. I'm not a chicken hearted dove in all cases. I opposed Iraq, because I saw no evidence that we were in danger from them. Afghanistan, however is a differant story. We got so caught up in Iraq, we've forgotten about Osama bin Laden.

Supported it, but not satisfied on how it is going。 And why did the White House plan the war before 911? I read it on the BBC。

Ever since von moltke, western countries have pre-planned all operations they forsee as possibilities.

Obviously, it was in fact possible the US would wind up fighting a war in Afghanistan, so what's the big deal?

You mean they had knowledge of 911?
