Probably way worse then '00 or '04 I'd suspect. Supporters on both sides will come out in droves, even in the irrelevant states.

For all the talk of bipartisanship from both Obama and McCain, I agree that the partisan rancor is going to be at an all-time high this year.

Oh well, I'm sure we're all used to it by now.

All time high, because of race.

Massachusetts will likely get a whole lot redder, but that has everything to do with local dynamics, and the lack of any national ones due to the state being noncompetitive.

Is my assessment more or less accurate?

McCain / Palin will visit those states / counties which voted for Bush in 2004 in order to increase the number of Republican votes cast and also visit counties that voted for Kerry in 2004 by less than 1%

Obama / Biden will visit those counties that have large concentrations of voters (i.e counties with cities in then) to ensue that Democrats come out to vote in larger numbers than rural counties put together and ignore all other states where there is little chance of flipping the state with increased numbers of Dem voters

McCain won't do as well as Bush did in Texas because he's not from here and doesn't have a Texas accent.
