Not only have they promoted arch-nutcase John Redwood to the shadow cabinet, but the conservative association in the Labour marginal of Falmouth have launched a scathing attack on their OWN candidate, evidently because he's gay!! Apparently members have been quoted as calling him a 'poof' and saying gays should be 'thrown in a skip'.

So much for the Tories being a modern inclusive party eh?!
I think we can safely say Labour will hold Falmouth!! Smiley

By all accounts he’s a good candidate but this probably scuppers him in the general I think… he did win that confidence vote, but Andrew Neal was suggesting that across the South West where UKIP is very strong their doing what Militant did in the 1980’s and this was a result of UKIP “entryism” and if UKIP do poorly in the general I think it will become more common and could be a big problem for the Tories, Howard won’t be able to personally intervene in every selection battle.
