Assuming your candidate wins, what would be the icing on the cake for you?  For me, it would be Obama winning Virginia, what about you?

Obama winning Ohio. It would be nice revenge for the shenanigans that occurred there in 2004.

McCain winning Pennsylvania, assuming he holds onto Virginia, Missouri, Florida, and Montana, while also winning the crucial states of Ohio and Michigan to offset Obama's likely wins in the Southwest and in Iowa.

McCain winning Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Also, Coleman wins and Bob Schaffer pulls an upset.

McCain winning PA. I could have so much fun with some of you guys...  Wink

Since I already think that this will happen, the real icing on the cake would be if the GOP somehow managed to win the Senate races in Colorado, New Hampshire and Louisiana and the Dems only picked up Virginia, New Mexico and Alaska. All of that plus Lieberman in the Cabinet would leave the Dems with only 52 seats in the Senate. Talk about avoiding the nightmare scenario (for the GOP) that we've all been expecting...

Obama winning in all the states that border Illinois except for Kentucky.
That would be Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri. He does that well, he'll probably bring Virginia back into the fold with him.

I'd add GOP gains in the House.

I'm guessing a lot of people have a particular state that they really want their candidate to win, but is currently at best a toss-up; Virginia for me, Pennsylvania for Phil and JJ, etc.

Obama winning the EV without the popular vote. Just to hear Republicans complain about the Electoral College for a while.

That's the way it goes sometimes. I'd be yelling just as loud as you guys for them to shut up.

Just telling you how I'll act. Will it sting? Absolutely. Does that mean Obama suddenly isn't really the President? No. Does it mean that the system should be abolished because my guy lost? No.

Great choice! I'm going to have to go with this. I want to get rid of the electoral college, but only after we get our revenge for 2000.

Don't forget 1888!

And 1824. Jackson wins both the popular and electoral vote and still loses.

Obama's pro-Iran, pro-Palestine comments coming back to bite him in New York and all the navel-gazing by Democrats who then realise that Clinton would have been a better nominee.

Obama winning the states even I think are out of reach.  We're talking "icing" folks.

So let me add Jill Long Thompson beating Mitch "Burger King Jobs" Daniels and Mike Montagano knocking Mark Souder from his Congressional perch.

Icing, of course, is something I gave up many moons ago.
