I don't believe you can imbed video. Anything can be hyperlinked with the button. Pretty much everything you can do is one of those buttons at the top of your post, just hover your mouse over them.
If you see anyone on the forum doing anything and you want to know how, simply click "quote" on their post (as if you were going to quote&reply) and you'll see exactly what they typed!
You're correct, you cannot embed a video, but this isn't somethin Dave can change, it's a feature that Simple Machines Forums doesn't have (yet?
