AK-Sen:

Mark Begich (D) - 50
Ted Stevens (R) - 44

Up from a 47-45 lead for Begich in July.

AK-AL:

Ethan Berkowitz (D) - 53
Don Young (R) - 39

Up from a 51-40 lead for Berkowitz in July.

It would be astonishing if Young lost but Stevens won.

Damn. If not for Palin, we could have had a House-Senate-President Alaskan trifecta this year.

We'll still probably get two, and I'm not complaining. If Palin hadn't been picked and Obama won Alaska, I have a feeling it would already be a mini-landslide...
