May 10th, 2004: In a close race in the Philippine General Election, popular movie actor Fernando Poe Jr would win over Vice President Glorida Macapagal-Arroyo in a tight race for the Presidency. The victory by Poe would only come down to a little over a point after recounts whittled down Poe's lead.

May 11th, 2004: Nebraska and West Virginia held it's primaries and they would be easy victories for both McCain and Kennedy. Kucinich would continue his ruff patch as he only garnered 6% in each state.

May 11th, 2004: UN Ambassador Madeline Albright is officially announced to succeed Boren as Secretary of State. This would be expected but also a suprise as Albright's job as US Ambassador to the UN has been an fantastic one but many see this new post as Secretary of State will be too short to actually make a mark.

May 16th, 2004: Acting State Secretary Talbott and Ambassador Albright would meet with Pakistani President about the growing concerns about stability in the country. President Jamali would say that "The United States has reassurance that Pakistan shall remain standing for now and onwards".

May 18th, 2004: Kentucky, Oregon and Arkansas held there respective primaries as both McCain and Kennedy continued there march towards their Conventions. Kucinich put up his "last big fight" against Kennedy as he racked up 9% in AR, 7% in KY and 20% in OR in a big suprise.

May 21st, 2004: John McCain would make a statement saying that he wouldn't be announcing his top tier VEEP choices. McCain would say that he wanted a certain "mystery" and "magic" behind his Vice Presidential choices. Some would satirized McCain announcement, the New Yorker would put it in it's best way, showing McCain as a magician emblazon with "GOP" everywhere and pulling the word "V-P Pick" out of a black top hat.

May 22nd, 2004: Dr. Manmohan Singh assumes office as the 17th and first Sikh Prime Minister of the Republic Of India.

May 26th, 2004: The McCain camp would begin to air the "Kennedy Flip-flop" ad. The ad would show how Kennedy accused Kucinich of being a "Chavez-lover" and would point that all the ties that Kennedy has to Venezuela and Chavez makes Kennedy a "Chavez-lover too?" as the ad said. Liberals blasted the ad as "utter slander".

May 28th-June 3rd, 2004: Military leaders in Pakistan would try to throw a coup of the increasingly weary Jamali Administration. The coup would not be fully supported and would "collapse" entirely after about a week.

May 29th, 2004: The National World War II Memorial is officially dedicated in Washington, D.C. President Nunn and a small delegates would attend the dedication, commemorating the "fallen heroes and large sacrifices by the heroes of World War II". This would come at but two days before Memorial Day.

May 30th, 2004: The Nader campaign would release the famous "Brick by brick" ad as it showed a wall being built up as a voice attacked former Governor Russo's "radical libertarianism", saying that to much could bring down the party at which the wall fell over in the ad. This would be echoed in similar ads used by the Russo campaign to attack Nader as a "extremist liberal". Beatty though would try and remain above the fray and would air "Unite America" ads instead of following Nader and Russo's suite.

June 1st, 2004: Alabama and South Dakota were the next primaries for the Democrats and Republicans and McCain and Kennedy won the Cotton State and the "Mount Rushmore" State by big margins. Kucinich fell flat on his face garnering 6% in AL and 7% in SD.

June 3rd, 2004: CIA Director George Tenant would resign from his post, sighting "personal reasons" behind it. This would be another shakeup for the Nunn Administration as it seemed that people were beginning to leave in the last months of President Nunn's term of office. John Edward McLaughlin would take over as acting CIA Director until confirmation for a new Director could be made.

June 4th, 2004: The McCain camp would decry the Kennedy campaign adverts usage of footage of 9/20. McCain would call it a "failure to honor the deaths of that fateful day" and an "terrible means for political gains". The Kennedy campaign would take the ads down and would take a small hit in polls.

June 5th, 2004: Former President Ronald Reagan would die quietly in his home of Bel Air, California. This sent shockwaves through the nation as a six day state funeral began soon after.

June 8th, 2004: Both Kennedy and McCain would make official statements about the death of Ronald Reagan. Kennedy would say that "I didn't see always everything the Gipper's way but it's a tragedy what happened to him", McCain would say that "America has lost a good man, I lost someone who I called a friend. Though I fought and went against some of his policies, it still doesn't matter that he's gone and we as a nation must mourn".

June 8th, 2004: The Primary season for the Democrats and Republicans officially come to an end as the Montana and New Jersey Primaries cast there votes for Kennedy and McCain. Kucinich would continue his lagging campaign but did better as he took 8% in NJ and 16% in MT.

June 15th, 2004: The time would come as most of the policing of Iraq would now fall into the hands of the Iraqi's as the US and Coalition forces begin some of the final draw downs and to also send partially some of these forces to Afghanistan. Iraqi's would celebrate the day as a "Day of Freedom and Honor".

June 16th, 2004: Representative Dan Glickman of Nebraska, former House Intelligence Committee Chairmen would be officially nominated to be Director of the CIA. With this, Glickman's name would be quickly taken off the list of possible runningmates for Vice President Kennedy.

June 19th, 2004: Vice President Kennedy would say that he was ready to release the name of his Vice Presidential candidate soon. After some talks, Kennedy would say that in five days he would announce that name.

June 21st, 2004: A suprising leak would appear as Kennedy's VEEP pick's name would leak out to the public as the media got a hold of it and ran with it. Kennedy had chosen none other that Representative Dick Gephardt of Missouri. This choice had been seen as the most likely and it had occurred.

June 22nd, 2004: The Kennedy camp would try and shrug off the leak and would hold a rally in St. Louis, Missouri for a more official "meeting" between Gephardt and the American People. Kennedy himself would barley mention the leak and would focus on Gephardt and the "good he's done in Congress". Gephardt would then call for a "drive forward for the country" and for "Victory in November for the Democrats and the Kennedy/Gephardt ticket".

June 28th, 2004: The Canadian Federal Election would be one of the more dirty than others as after a drawn out fight for who would be the bearer of the Conservative Party of Canada in the Election would results in Belinda Stronach winning over Stephen Harper. The Election would be a Martin vs Stronach vs Layton race and after a long battle pegging Stronach as inexperienced, a "sophomoric" candidate as attacks on Stronach were alledged to be sexist. The Liberals won easily over the Conservatives as the New Democrats made gains and were seen as a growing force in Canada.

June 28th-29th, 2004: The NATO summit in Istanbul, Turkey is held as the major structure would be a transfer of NATO to an "anti-Soviet" alliance to a "21st Century" coalition. Major talks would be about security needs and problems, talks would also be raised about the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. President Nunn and other world leaders would call it a "success" for security and freedom after they returned to their respective home country.

June 30th, 2004: John McCain would applaud Kennedy's pick of Gephardt as his Vice Presidential candidate. McCain would say that Gephardt is a "good man" and it would make the race more interesting. McCain would also take this time to also say that he wasn't backing down on releasing names for possible VEEP's.

June 30th, 2004: The Reform Coalition Primaries/Caucuses would once again be held on one day but would be on a different day after organization of new primaries/caucuses took longer than thought as they had officially organized caucuses/primaries in all 50 states(plus DC and several territories). For the nomination would have Ralph Nader, Warren Beatty and Aaron Russo leading different factions in the Reform Coalition and they had campaigned hard and now they had to watch the results come it.

Sen. Warren Beatty, CA
Fmr Sec. Ralph Nader, CT
Fmr Gov. Aaron Russo, NV

The results would be suprising as Beatty won big over Nader and Russo as Beatty played himself as the "Only true man to the Unite the Party" and also remained or tried to remain above the partisan fray. Nader would win a number of close victories in the North and several splotches on the West Coast and Wisconsin. Russo carried easily the more conservative and libertarian voters as he took parts of the South and the West mostly. Throughout this, Beatty played himself as the "strong moderate candidate" and gained good showings throughout the nation. After this, Beatty was crowned the Reform Coalition nominee.

July 1st, 2004: Former Secretary Ralph Nader would officially announce that he was dropping out of the presidential race and officially endorsing Warren Beatty. Russo would follow suit two days later.

July 2nd, 2004: The final touches on the repair of the North Tower would be completed as President Nunn released a statement saying that "The North Tower is like America, it held up against the blows on 9/20 as did the American People, the North Tower slowly but surely was repaired and rose again, so has America. President Nunn would also call on a day of reflection for the lives lost on 9/20 and hope for a brighter future.

July 4th, 2004: On the fourth of July , McCain, Kennedy and Beatty would take the day off from campaigning and would call for reflection for the troops fighting oversea's and to be "Proud to be Americans".

July 6th, 2004: Major crackdowns on the remaining remnants of the Taliban would bear fruit as a number of the remaining leaders would be captured. Many would say that this was possible because of the incoming troops from Iraq.

July 6th-7th, 2004: A two day summit would convene and strike a plan for dates for Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Afghanistan. The date would be narrowed down to "Early October" as intermin President Karzai said.

July 11th, 2004: To continue his media roll, Beatty would announce his vice presidential pick early after winning in the primaries and caucuses. Beatty's pick would be popular former Governor Angus King of Maine, this pick was speculated and would balance the ticket as King had proven himself to be strongly bipartisan.

July 18th, 2004: New State Secretary Albright would meet with Interim Afghan President Hamid Karzai to discuss the Afghan Elections, troops movements and other things on the agenda. Some would say that Karzai came off as "uncomfortable" in this meeting after Albright pushed for "straight answers" from Karzai.

July 22nd, 2004: The Old Bridge of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina is reconstructed and reopened after being destroyed by Bosnian Croat forces on November 9, 1993.

July 25th, 2004: Over 100,000 opponents of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan of 2004 participate in a human chain from Gush Katif, to the Western Wall, Jerusalem.

July 26th-29th, 2004: The Democratic National Convention would be held in Boston, Massachusetts in a big bash to show to America that Democrats "Unite America" as the first day of the Convention's theme declared. All through out this would have a large number of protesters outside the FleetCenter, these protester would rail against the "Warlike Democrats" and "Not four more years" in the protesters words.

Soon "Kucinich!" would begin to be chanted as the Democrats happily moved along with there Convention. In a suprise move, the keynote speaker would be Senatorial candidate Barack H. Obama, who was facing a heated fight against former Governor Jim Edgar. The Convention would unanimously nominate Vice President Joseph P. Kennedy II for President and Representative Dick Gephardt for Vice President.

July 30th, 2004: Quickly in hopes of off stopping a boost in polls for Kennedy and Gephardt with a "Convention Bounce", John McCain would officially announce his choice for Vice President. McCain would lay out that he wanted his choice to be historic and bring something new to the ticket. McCain's choice would be the suprise pick of one term Representative Clinton B. LeSueur of MS.

This pick would rope in the conservative GOP leaders as many had already backed LeSueur for reelection and though LeSueur would be criticized as being inexperienced, the GOP would solidify behind the McCain/LeSueur ticket. With this, all three major parties tickets would be ready for the fight to November.

Wow...Beaty/King is arguably one of the strongest tickets the Reform Party has put up arguably since '96...They should take alot of crucial states that VP Kennedy needs to secure an electoral Victory. And old Johnnie Boy doesn't disapoint, wasn't expecting the pick of Clinton LeSour, I assume that he manages to win his congressional race in '02. This should be a really cool race...Keep it comming

The games would have a more upbeat tone to it after the Beijing games four years ago had attracted protests against China's "Undemocratic Process" and the violation of rights as some said. This time it would be different, President Nunn would eagerly go to the opening ceremony as he had said that he "Would love to see the place where Democracy was born in action". All through out the games, things had an upbeat demeanor as friendly competition was the only thing to worry about for that short time.

This standoff would end tragically as Russian forces would storm the school and at the end of this, nearly 400 people deaths would be confirmed and the injured would nearly be 800 in total.

September 6th, 2004: Campaigner for the McCain campaign and strong supporter, Richard Cheney would die after complications from what was suppost to be a routine surgery after some more heart troubles plagued the former Defense Secretary. I hope that those Anti-McCain ads backfire. Nobody should exploit a person's medical condition for political purposes, especially when it is someone who has put his life on the line for his country.

September 28th, 2004: Two days before the first Presidential Debate, polls would be released. The polls would show McCain at 39%, Kennedy 30% and Beatty at 21% with 10% going for others/unsure. These polls showed that McCain has began to push Kennedy away and seems to be riding Kennedy's flubs to the upcoming debates. Beatty's support shows that with hard effort and or if the negative campaign Kennedy is running could make him at a closer third place.

September 30th, 2004: The first Presidential Debate would open in Miami University, Florida as it would be moderated by Jim Lehrer. Kennedy, McCain and Beatty would meet for a "meeting of minds" as the first debate would range from internal and external questions ranging from health care, education, the war on terrorism and Middle East tension. McCain would win after sparring with Kennedy on foreign policy issues and saying that "Vice President Kennedy can be bullnosed on issues and we don't need somebody like that, we need somebody that can reach across the isle".

October 5th, 2004: The only Vice Presidential debate would convene at Cleveland, Ohio at the Case Western Reserve University. The moderator, Gwenn Ifell, would ask many hard questions as she would open up the bottle in the sense as both King and LeSueur scrutinized the handling of the war on terrorism, both saying that President Nunn and Vice President Kennedy's choices were gone and it was time to try something different, LeSueur put forth a McCain like agenda calling for a stronger handling on Afghanistan as King did the more liberal thing and called for the need for a draw down and a time table for the war in Afghanistan. Though Gephardt had the most experience of all the other vice presidential picks, he didn't have a strong charisma and that left him with a blandness as LeSueur and King jumped on this. The debates victory was something of a shocker, there was no winner as many news outlets and pundits said that each candidate was about even during the debate.

October 8th, 2004: The next Presidential Debate convened in Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. This debate would be moderated by Charles Gibson and would delve into many issues as it was varying because of the town hall-like format for the debate. McCain would be in his element for the debate and would breeze through, both Beatty and Kennedy would do the same but what threw Kennedy was the question about his campaigns negative turn and that it was turning off voters. Kennedy was slower on his reply as at first he thought about each word and was slowly spouting each word, this would be remembered as the "Kennedy Drawl". McCain comfort level in the debate would shine through and McCain would win the debate easily.

October 9th, 2004: Incumbent Afghan President Hamid Karzai wins the first ever Presidential Election of Afghanistan over a number of other presidential contenders. President Nunn of the US would be the first to congratulate Karzai for the election and would hope for continued reconstruction and rebuilding of Afghanistan.

October 10th, 2004: The next quick polls after the first and second presidential debates showed that McCain still led and if it continued like the way it was going, that McCain could continue to pull away from Kennedy and Beatty. McCain was at 40%, Kennedy at 30%, Beatty at 22% and 8% for others/not sure. These were showing that the American people were divided with this as Beatty was seen as spoiling Kennedy's chances but still many voters were sticking to their candidates after the two victories in the debates by McCain. Now many pundits speculated if Kennedy or Beatty would win the last presidential debate could throw off enough support to give them an edge.

October 11th, 2004: After several talks with international leaders by President Nunn, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Poland, Russia and Italy would donate a cache of weapon supplies and other military equipment to the Afghan Army. Both President Karzai and President Nunn would say that this was a step to a stronger and more well defended Afghanistan.

October 12th, 2004: The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime would host an international meeting to discuss the growing heroin problem in Afghanistan.

October 13th, 2004: The Third and finale Presidential Debate would come to be in the Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium in Phoenix, Arizona, McCain's homestate. This advantage had Kennedy and Beatty work hard to prepare for the debate and hopes of winning this key event in the Presidential Election. Moderated by Bob Schieffer, the questions would touch on poverty, social security, health care, preparations for the flu and outbreaks, terrorism, Roe v. Wade and border security. All three candidates dove head first and easily sparred between each other and tried to sharply define themselves and their stances on the issues. The debate was the one labled "The Debate" of 2004 as it was what could be characterized in Websters as what a debate was. Pundits and News Networks began to call differently as some called it a McCain win, a Kennedy upset, most called it a three man tie and even with this, this would be good news as some Americans would be thrown to being not sure now.

October 25th, 2004: Dr. Martin L. King Jr, and Coretta S. King would receive the Congressional Gold Medal, one of the highest medals that a civilian could receive.

October 29th, 2004: The next set of fast polling showed that McCain had lost some ground but still led. McCain at 36%, Kennedy at 31%, Beatty at 24% and 9% for others/not sure. These results showed that a suprising amount of Americans have changed their support but most said only barley. Electoral results were mixed, McCain also led there but by a smaller margin as many states were tossups on the electoral map.

October 31st, 2004: Leftist candidate Tabere Vasquez would be elected President of the nation of Uruguay.

November 1st, 2004: The candidates would begin there final blitz's to switch votes to them, try for a shot at upsets, victories, small or decisive ones at that and the election would all be upon the illustrious tossups as 17 states seemed they could decide who would be the next President.

Well then, your going to get one and here it is!

November 2nd, 2004: The Election of 2004 would happen as after months of prolonged fighting and waring between the three major candidates for votes had left many Americans weary and also filled with excitement about the election this year, a year that all three parties had nominated strong candidates. The election results were easy at first, the south went for McCain, the West moved to Beatty, sections of the Northeast went to Kennedy but the tossup states were closely watched all through the night and they proved to be the illusive prizes. As the results filled in, hour after hour showed gains by each candidate in each region but soon the Democrats movement forward stalled for a long time after states like MA, NY, IL,  WV and RI were safer Democratic states and the only latest state that was called for Kennedy was the island state of Hawaii. McCain on the otherhand had continually grown his lead and his victories were showing his solidarity with conservatives, liberals and moderates in a number of states.

New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware were the last states to finally be called on the East Coast as after a long and bloody battle, New Jersey was called for Kennedy and so would Delaware after a strong three way split between Kennedy, McCain and Beatty. Pennsylvania remained open still but it slowly rode the wave and would begin a chain of events as it finally fell to McCain. McCain victory would be close but close wouldn't cut it as Kennedy's plan for victory seemed to be falling apart after that with PA going to the Republicans, results began to mirror PA in Ohio as well and the Democrats hopes began to ride on the West Coast states and victories in the remaining great lake states and Iowa, New Mexico and Missouri. California proved to be one exciting race as Beatty and Kennedy fought over the state, Kennedy was popular in the state and so was the Democratic Party but Beatty had become the states favorite son of the Reform Coalition, McCain was also in the equation as if enough votes went to the other candidates that he could pull out a suprise for them all. PA set the nails in Kennedy's coffin as Ohio went to Johny Boy next, soon the battle continued as Beatty picked up Wisconsin in a close race and soon after though it being close, that Iowa would go to Kennedy after his lead had decreased but still he was leading there.

After Kennedy's victory in Iowa had put some light in the eyes of the Democrats, it would soon be doused as Missouri would be called for John McCain, this was a devastating move as the Kennedy camp at least thought they could eck out a victory there. With that one move it was effectively over, Kennedy couldn't win and they had hoped to at least maybe win CA or other states and if they had to then concede but Missouri was gone and if they won all the states up in the air, they would fall short some 50 EV from McCain and a little after 11:30, Joseph P. Kennedy II conceded the race to John McCain. Warren Beatty waited a short time but would follow suit with a concession speech. With those moves, John McCain took the stage in his homestate of Arizona to declare to a roaring audience, "We Did It!". John McCain would now be the new President-Elect of the United States.

John S. McCain III/Clinton B. LeSeuer: 273 EV 40%

Warren Beatty/Angus King: 150 EV 28% PV

Joseph P. Kennedy II/Richard Gephardt: 115 EV 30% PV

Other (Green, Libertarian, etc): 0 EV 2% PV

-Congressional, Senate and Gubernatorial Results will be in a seperate post

Solid Update Andy, I had a feelin old Johnny Boy would pull off a win albeiit an extremley close won. The Senatorial and Gubernatorial breakdown should be interesting. Katrina, The War and the Economic Crisis should bring down the McCain Adminstration pretty quickly. I'm pulling for Bloomberg or Paul in O8 for the first Reform Party President since Perot.

Layout of the Congressional Elections of 2004 and Other

House Layout

With a mixed feelings for the American people in the Congressional Elections, the Republicans would make small gains in the House against the Democrats, not enough though to gain the speakership back. After the strong showing of the Beatty/King ticket, there would be an influx of new elected officials for the Reform Coalition Party and the House was no exception.

House:
Democrats: 190 (-5)
Republicans: 188 (+3)
Reform Coalition: 57 (+2)

Senate Layout

The Senatoe were one of the big spectacles through out the election night, many races were hard fought and so many interesting characters were running for a prestigious senate seat. Illinois was a big watch as the State Senator Barack H. Obama and former Governor Jim Edgar battled in Illinois, other big races were in North Carolina, Colorado, Oklahoma, Alaska and South Dakota. The Republicans made gains but like the House, they didn't take a majority but they were close and now both the Democratic and Republican leaders would go into talks with the Reform Coalitionists to try and swing them into a alliance so that they could either keep the majority as was the case of the Democrats or to gain the majority as was the case of the Republicans.

Senate:
Democrats: 49 (-5)
Republicans: 47 (+4)
Reform Coalition: 4 (+1)

Other Layout

Gubernatorial Elections were a big watch as it was mainly a brawl between the Democrats and the Republicans. The Republicans kept Montana, New Hampshire, Utah, Vermont and North Dakota, they would also pick up victories in Washington and Delaware. The Democrats lost a number of close races and only kept West Virginia, Missouri and North Carolina for the 2004 Gubernatorial Elections.

November 6th, 2004: The Australian-US Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act would finally be muscled through Congress after hardline Reform Coalitionist and Republicans opposed the legislation and called for an end to the "willy nilly free trade pact addicted Nunn Administration cramming legislation down Congress's throats" said by one major opposition leader to the act. President Nunn would sign the AUSFTA Implementation Act soon to tie up and end the battle over the legislation as quickly as possible.

November 10th, 2004: In a bloody suprise, what was said to be former Baathist loyalists, bombs go off in the Iraqi city of Fallujah. The targets were the public and populated parts of the city and it was effective as numerous civilians were killed and injured. In a suprise, instead of striking utter fear and trying to shake support for troops in Iraq for the American populace, instead Americans see the chaos and out of that what was hailed as "Heroic American an Coalition soldiers striving and bring aid and help to the hurt Fallujah City". Support for troops in Iraq would increase after the major news outlets played the images and video of this happening.

November 21st, 2004: The final round of voting in the Ukrainian Presidential Election would bring scrutiny, inside Ukraine and abroad as the results were said to be tainted and rigged. Soon protesters began to line the streets of Kiev and called foul for the results and the supposed victory Viktor Yanukovych.

November 27th, 2004: In a small comment about the happenings in Ukraine, President-Elect McCain would respond saying that "I support any moves made for democracy and I believe like all the other international leaders that those results weren't solid". Across the globe from Arizona and McCain, in Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych would say that "This elected John McCain shouldn't be meddling in our internal affairs like some animal going through trash".

December 6th, 2004: A Terrorist Saudi group would attack the US consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This attack would kill several and shake the US some and also prompt calls for a stronger moves against terrorist in the Saudi nation. President Nunn would speak to the press about this, saying "We have to remember the lives lost but we can't ever stop being ever vigilant against a shadowy threat".

December 12th, 2004: After some time in the works, the Class Action Fairness Act of 2004 would pass in the House and Senate after a long debate over the 2004 act and it's major opposition mantra was "No More Government" as conservative Democrats and Reform Coalition and Republican opposition said, saying that the bill would give more power to the federal government and would "taint the judicial system even more". One Congressmen even would say that "If this legislation is signed into law, we might as well start calling President Nunn, King!". The Class Action Fairness Act would be another drawn out bill during the last days of the Nunn Administration and with this "partisan gridlock", President Nunn's approval ratings were hit as some said he wasn't handling his last days as good as some thought.

December 14th, 2004: The Millau Bridge would open as the tallest bridge in the world as French President Lionel Jospin would open the bridge to use and would say that "This will be one of the safest bridges in our nation".

December 18th, 2004: In a big suprise, in an interview with the now President-Elect John McCain, McCain would respond to a somewhat serious question about putting Nunn in McCain's cabinet. McCain would say "I really do think that's a good idea, President Nunn has shown his strength on the international stage and I'm looking into every possibility". This raised some eyebrows as some Conservative Republicans who prided themselves with attacking the Nunn Administration, fired back as said that if McCain would do such a thing it "Would be the biggest mistake ever". Though criticism or not, McCain would continue to say that he might just consider something out of the blue for his cabinet choices.

December 26th, 2004: Southeast Asia would be rocked as one of the worst natural disasters would hit an unprepared populace. When the strongest earthquake in 40 happen, it would create the devastating tsunami waves that crash into the coastlands of Southeast Asia. Numerous nations would be affected and the death toll afterwards would be in the devastating 100'000 in some estimates. President Nunn and the international leaders would organize any immediate aid to the affected nations in the aftermath.

December 26th, 2004: The final vote in the Ukrainian Election would bring Viktor Yushchenko to victory over Yanukovych after a long and critical election in the eastern European nation after calls of rigging and discrepancies from internationally and in there own borders. After rioting and what was called a "Orange Revolution", the Supreme Court there would set up the new election and would put Ukraine down the road for a Yushchenko victory.

December 27th, 2004: After a short while after Christmas, President-Elect would officially resign from his position as Senator of the state of Arizona. Governor Matt Salmon would pledge to choose the best successor to Senator McCain's seat in the Senate.

December 30th, 2004: Both President-Elect McCain and Vice President-Elect Lesuer would be making stops through out the nation as they get on the slow journey towards Washington, DC for the inauguration.

Hmm, the Reform Coaliton had a nice pick up in the House, almost splitting the Demorat and Republican totals in half. Itll be interesting to see how truly bipartisian the McCain Cabinent will be? Im already rooting for Agnus King/Ron Paul in 2008 or Mike Bloomberg/Ron Paul in 2008, I just want another Reform Coalition President.

January 2nd, 2005: President-Elect McCain would unveil a number of the remaining cabinet positions. The biggest one being the somewhat suprising pick of President Sam Nunn as State Secretary, Frank Keating for Attorney General, the suprise choice of Warren Buffet as Treasury Secretary, Chuck Hagel as Defense Secretary, McCain would also bring back Ralph Nader as Energy Secretary and the other big suprise of H. Ross Perot Jr. as Commerce Secretary.

January 4th, 2005: Another planned attack by recovering insurgents in Iraq is adverted by the remaining Coalition forces and Iraqi forces as they unravel a planned assassination on the internal Governate of Baghdad, Ali al-Haidari.

January 12th, 2005: Arizona Governor Matt Salmon would announce that Representative John Shadegg would be replacing the soon to be former Senator McCain's senate seat.

January 18th, 2005: Voting for the Iraqi Legislature goes as scheduled but reports that in some areas that armed men were coming to peoples homes and saying "Not to vote" in the election. These insurgents would be linked to the remaining Baathist forces that are slowly being rooted out by majorly by the Iraqi forces. The voting wouldn't have any large or terrorizing things as it would be a quiet election and as the Union of United Iraq won the majority in the Iraqi Legislature.

January 20th, 2005: John Sidney McCain III would be officially sworn in as the United States 44th President, Clinton LeSueur would be sworn in as the 48th Vice President of the United States. Newly sworn in President McCain would issue an daring inaugural address. McCain would call on a need for a vigorous pursuit of terrorists and insurgents in the War on Terrorism. McCain would outline huge reforms, ranging from social security, health care, economic and numerous other grandiose proposals. Many would say that new President McCain's plan's were quite large in scope but now was the time to act at the start of his term when the honeymoon was still strong.

January 29th, 2005: Ralph Nader is re-implaced as Energy Secretary again after going through his confirmation hearing with more of an ease on both sides. With both what the congressman and Nader himself are prepared for, the confirmation is more quieter though the only big thing being the question asked by several conservative Republicans, "Mr. Nader, are you to liberal to be Energy Secretary again?".

January 30th, 2005: After holding up as long as they could, former President Samuel Nunn is confirmed as the new State Secretary. When enough Democrats, Republicans and a handful of Reform Coalitionist joined and pushed Nunn through after the strong criticism of Nunn from conservative Republicans and isolationistic Reform Coalitionists nearly derailed the confirmation.

February 2nd, 2005: Senator H. Ross Perot, Jr. would finally be confirmed after a long questioning during Perot, Jr's confirmation. After his official swearing in, Perot Jr. would be quickly mentioned as a future presidential candidate.

February 6th, 2005: Super Bowl XXXIX would be held in Alltel Stadium, Jacksonville, FL. The game would be close but the Philadelphia Eagles would pull out a win over the New England Patriots.

February 8th, 2005: Danish Parliamentary Elections would spit out a victory by the center right coalition parties over the ruling Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and the center left coalition.

February 10th, 2005: The North Korean Regime would announce that they are in fact in possession of nuclear weapons. Saying that they are only for defense against the "Threatening forces of the west", especially from the United States.

February 14th, 2005: Reform Coalitionists in the Senate would finally come to an alliance after talks with Senate Democrats and Republicans. The Senate Reformers would support the Republicans in the Senate, this came as a shock to pundits as they saw Mitch McConnell become Majority Leader.

February 19th, 2005: Several assassination plots would be foiled by coalition and Iraqi forces. These plotted out assassinations were to be against leading Shia Muslims in Iraq on the Ashura.
