February 20th, 2005: Shortly into office, President McCain would begin a small tour of Europe to "show solidarity and friendship with our European allies" as McCain put it. McCain would meet with numerous European leaders, ranging from President Jospin of France, Prime Minister Blair of the UK, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi of Italy and so many others of the prominent European leaders.

February 23rd, 2005: The French Law on Colonialism is defeated after legislators, teachers, left wing activists and President Jospin railed against it as "idiotic historical revisionism" and "an attempt to make light of racism and bigotry during the colonial era".

February 26th, 2005: When answering a questions about his trip to Europe, President McCain would answer a question about President Putin with a joke, "With him, I think I needed a coat with that man". It would get some laughs but it also set off some anger from Russian President Putin and some Russian officials.

March 9th, 2005: The People's Republic of China would beat down a proposal of a "Cordial with Taiwan" law, instead pushed a more stronger anti-secessionist law instead. Many Taiwanese see the failure of the "Cordial" law as a step backwards with relations with the PRC.

March 18th, 2005: After growing attention through out 2005, the Terri Schiavo Case had grown into a full blown media attraction as many were fascinated by what was going on with the fate of Terri Schiavao. Soon Congress would draw up what would be called the "Palm Sunday Compromise" to bring the growing legal case into federal courts. The Palm Sunday Compromise would easily pass through both the House and Senate several days later.

March 19th, 2005: Taiwanese government officials and Taiwanese political parties would organize a massive demonstration in Taipei against the "Anti-Secession" law in the PRC. Over 700,000 people would attend to protest majorly the anti secession law but also the "appeasement" Taiwanese government.

March 24th, 2005: The "Tulip Revolution" finally climaxes as the embattled Kyrgyzstani President Askar Akayev is overthrown.

March 26th, 2005: Reform Coalitionist in Congress would put up once again the "Balanced Budget Constitution Amendment". This time though after impassioned support from Reform Coalitionists, calling the amendment "One of President Perot's unresolved legacies". Soon Republicans and even some Democrats would begin to jump on it as it seemed now that the Balanced Budget amendment was gaining traction finally in Congress.

April 2nd, 2005: Pope John Paul II dies. This would cause shockwaves in the catholic and christian community around the world. Soon people estimated in the millions begin to flock to the Vatican to mourn the fallen Pope.

April 7th, 2005: Mexicano Federal District leader Andres M.L. Obrador would begin to face impeachment by the Mexicano Congress after the "El Encino" case started the whole domino effect for Obrador.

April 8th, 2005: Referendums in Curacao and several other Dutch Carribean islands leads to votes to begin the process to the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles.

April 13th, 2005: The Border Defence Act of 2005 would be passed through the House and the Senate by fair margins. After the attacks by conservatives calling for an actual fence to be built to truly defined and linked border fence on the southern border of the United States. McCain and the reformers in the GOP were able to wrangle support from Democrats and Republicans on the side lines by using national polling showing that more Americans were for an increase in the border patrol instead of building a linked border fence. McCain would sign the Border Defence Act into law shortly afterwards.

April 19th, 2005: Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger would succeed the fallen Pope John Paul II as the next pope, becoming Pope Benedict XVI the 265th Pope.

April 26th, 2005: After going through sponsorship, committee's and being batted around, the Balanced Budget Amendment would arrive on the House floor to be voted upon. With Reform Coalitionists plentiful and in league with Republicans, the amendment seemed to be nearly certified, but even though they had a strong coalition of support, it would rely on a number of Democrats to make or break the amendment. It was closer than expected but centrist Democrats helped this "unholy union" of Republicans, Reform Coalitionists and Democrats to a vote that met the 2/3rds needed.

April 27th, 2005: After the attempted assassinations in Iraq, another assassination plot was unraveled but this time being in Afghanistan. This assassination plot would be targeted against Afghani President Hamid Karzai.

May 3rd, 2005: President McCain would suprise some by saying he would be making another trip to Europe, this one would be instead centered around meeting with Eastern European leaders. The "Eastern Europe" trip would be scheduled for a week, State Secretary Nunn would accompany McCain on this trip.

May 5th, 2005: The Labour Party and Prime Minister Tony Blair would continue there lead in Britain after they keep the majority over the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats, though with a slightly decreased majority.

May 9th, 2005: Conservative Republicans in Congress would turn out a constitutional amendment of their own, the "National Marriage Amendment". This "National Marriage" amendment would specify marriage and ban same sex marriages altogether, liberals and moderates called it as a "move of spite". Conservative fired back, calling it "an integral part to safeguard the morality of America". The National Marriage Amendment would soon head into committee where it would quietly die when it was defeated on the committee vote.

May 10th, 2005: On what seemed to be a happy and suprise stop in the Caucasus region nation of Georgia by President McCain and Secretary of State Nunn would turn quickly tragic. The trip to Georgia would be intended to be apart of the Eastern European trip by McCain. After meeting with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili more privately, the two Presidents of the nations of Georgia and the United States would speak to a crowd of supporting Georgians in the capitol. It was quick and unknown to anyone but the slight thud wasn't noticed until State Secretary Nunn saw it and called out "Grenade!". The explosion sent screams in the audience of Georgians, both Nunn, McCain and Saakashvili would lay wounded as it was saw, Saakashvili would be the least hurt by the explosion, McCain was quite a bit wounded and wasn't moving alot, Nunn was slumped over the President in his attempt to shield McCain.

Nunn wasn't moving, McCain knew this but what punctured the screams was the croak from John McCain, "Sam? Sam...Samuel?". Samuel Nunn was dead, in an act of bravery the former President had saved the life of President McCain and also to an extent Georgian President Saakashvili. Soon the local ambulance would take the two Presidents to be treated, President McCain made his quick trip to the closest hospital in Tbilisi with flanking Secret Service. Everyone now knew now that this day in history would forever be imprinted upon them, that this day would be one of infamy inflicted upon not only the leaders of nations but the terror and hurt inflicted upon the Georgian people and Nunn's family. Today would be remembered, especially by President McCain.

May 11th, 2005: After lookovers and such, President McCain is spirited back to the United States after secret service and other McCain advisers would say that the "Safety in the nation of Georgia is in question for the time being". Questions flew at McCain's press secretary on the same day, trying to get some reading or complete answer what exactly had happened, who had been behind it and why someone had done such a thing. Press Secretary Buchanan would say it was "still a developing situation" and that "President McCain is in stable shape" and that "The President is planning a special address to the nation over what has happened in Georgia, in the coming days".

May 15th, 2005: President McCain would issue that tonight, on the 15th of May that he would be addressing the nation in a special speech to the country. After shrugging off doctors worries, McCain would privately say "I'm fine damnit!", McCain would make preparations for the special address. When it came it was shadowed by a time of mourning, many people were saddened by the death of former President Nunn and this would be added to McCain's speech. President McCain would address the nation on the shadowy night of the 15th, beginning with "My fellow Americans, my fellow citizens, a patriot and friend of both this country and a friend of mine has passed on. With sinister intent, the grenade thrown happened to land in Sam's line of sight. I do not know what went through Sam's head at that moment but his distinctive shout pierced everything and in a....a heroic move, he saved me."

At this point, many Americans see something that will be debated over for years to come, it seemed that President McCain's eyes were looking watery. Many thought as they saw this "Was Johny McCain tearing up?". Still McCain's speech went on and afterwards it was applauded, many saying that it had no move to use Nunn's death in a partisan move, no many saw it as a eloquent and kind national eulogy of one friend to another. After the special address, McCain's approval ratings would receive a substantial bump.

May 18th, 2005: President McCain he would be choosing a successor to Sam Nunn as Secretary of State in "due time" at a press conference. Reporters asked who was on the President's mind for possible leaders of the State Department. McCain didn't name any names but said he would look across the isle.

May 19th, 2005: In Canada, the ruling Liberal Party would face a battle with an reinvigorated Conservative Party under new leadership. The battle would involve budgetary bills and the "I told you so" Conservative leader Stephen Harper leading his party in an attempt to halt these budgetary bills put forward by the Liberals. Though outmatched, they would try desperately to halt them and failed as a Liberal-New Democrat coalition vote pushed the budgetary bills through easily.

May 20th, 2005: President McCain would announce that in "at least one month" he would choose a successor Secretary of State, saying he didn't want to be hasty in his choice and would want to have time for the nation to grieve over the loss of Sam Nunn and also to have time to decide a clear choice.

May 26th, 2005: Congress would pass the United States-Iraqi Confederation Free Trade Agreement by a wide margin. The vote would test the strength of the Republican-Reform Coalition alliance in Congress as diehard Coalitionists voted against "USIC-FTA" as other Coalitionists were swayed to vote for it after some convincing and concessions were made. President McCain would sign it into law afterwards.

May 29th, 2005: The French Referendum on the ratification of the European Constitution would be one of closeness. The Ruling Socialists wanted a "YES" vote as a smattering of nationalistic, "NO" Leftists and people calling that the European Constitution needed to be renegotiated in areas. The campaign was hard fought but polls showed "YES" edging out "NO", that was soon proved wrong as voters sent a clearly different message. With 52% for "NO" and 48% for "YES", "NO" won and shocked the ruling Socialists by the turn of events.

June 2nd, 2005: After the cooing and harmonious "United as One" sentiment after the death of Secretary of State Nunn, soon the capitol would be enveloped in partisan bickering as conservative Republicans began to mount a campaign for a "prison" in the sense for terrorists to be implaced at the US owned area around Guantanamo Bay. This move was publicly attacked by President McCain, calling it "a road to gulag and torture". McCain's stauch bite at the Conservatives would infuriate them even more.

June 5th, 2005: Switzerland would vote to join the Schengen treaty and to allow same-sex partnerships. This would become one nation of many that ratified the Schengen Treaty as such.

June 14th, 2005: President McCain would meet with Afghan President Karzai to reaffirm there support to winning the war against Al Qaeda and the insurgents in Afghanistan. The major issues would include troop deployment, troop numbers, strategy and also the spread of Al Qaeda across borders.

June 17th, 2005: President McCain announces his choice for Secretary of State. The choice would be out of the blue compared to other foreseen likely candidates but former Senator John Danforth of Missouri was nominated by McCain to be the new Secretary of State.

June 21st, 2005: Alternate History writer Harry Turtledove would release his comparable to others of his work, a short alternate history novel called Sly Dog. Sly Dog would be about the election of Bill Clinton and Al Gore in 1992 over Ross Perot and James Stockdale. The story involved from the "Whitewater scandal of '93" and a big sexual scandal in 1995 that led to Clinton's impeachment as President and resignation of office. The story ended with the election of a certain Texan over Al Gore in 1996.

June 22nd, 2005: With a sense of emergency felt by many congressman and women to get that head foreign diplomat spot filled, in hasty questionnaires to nominee John Danforth, Democrats, Coalitionists and Republicans would question the former Senator. The Republicans focused more on "security" and "terrorism", Coalitionists focused on "Interventionism" to "Isolationism" as weary Democrats questioned Danforth over such things as civil rights violations around the world and what does "freedom, liberty and god given rights mean to you and to the 21st century?". Danforth's virtual last act to shore up support was saying "For far to long, many impoverished nations are going unheard. As our highest diplomat in the land, I will listen. I will listen at home, at Europe, at the Middle East, at Darfur and at Asia.". Conservative, Reformers, Moderate Republicans, most Coalitionists and many Democrats joined in and voted for the confirmation of John Danforth.

June 23rd, 2005: The Energy Change Act of 2005 is passed through Congress and signed into law by President McCain, The "ECA" Bill would be a drastic change in the United States energy policies, lumping in tax incentives, more funding for renewable energy resources, government and private research. The ECA would be shortly afterwords signed into law by President McCain.

June 28th, 2005: After a long debate over to officially take bilingualism to the national stage or to leave to the regions to decide whether or not to teach both English and French, a victory would come for Bilingualism and the "Equality" movement as the Charter of Equal Languages would be passed, asserting the the Republic of Quebec would be nationally a bilingual nation. This came with a sigh of relief from English speaker Quebeckers. Disagreement would soon rain from the Democratic Action for Quebec Party, making the case that the local levels of civilian and government life need to have the choice for themselves and the national government need not meddle in those affairs. Still, the Charter of Equal Languages had passed.

June 30th, 2005: Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor would announce that she would be retiering from the highest court in the land. A easily seen move by O'Connor after her public worries of stepping down during a Democratic or other than a Republican administration.

July 4th, 2005: The United States celebrates it's 229th Birthday as joyous and patriotic day was nearly engulfed in terror. A masterminded plot to detonate bombs in several New York City train hubs would be stopped by a smattering of FBI, CIA and other investigative groups. The news would slowly begin to break to the public but the one thing that surprised the Administration was who was behind it. It turned out to be a handful of Baathists who had came to America and had set up a sleeper cell in the nation until there plan's could come to fruition. There large scale plan was the say the least take there attacks on the road and attacks as many in the "Big Apple". With there plan foiled, the McCain Administration would hope that this would be another story to move on. It would not.

July 5th, 2005: A a long road down the fight against Alzheimer's disease, former Vice President James Stockdale would die in Coronado, California. Former President Perot, former Vice President Boren, most of the Perot Administration cabinet, numerous congressman and Stockdale's family. Eulogized by Perot, Stockdale's death would be sad for this as Americans around the nation mourned the misunderstood former Vice President.

July 7th, 2005: Numerous suicide bombs go off in key areas in London's public transport system during the morning rush. Soon after a bus was also attacked in the city, sending the populace in panic and the Blair Administration into a frenzy. After implacing Great Britian on high alert and tunneling to the survivors of the bombings in the train hubs, Prime Minister Blair would denounce the attacks as "A deadly and tragic attack on the security of Great Britain". Soon support and condolences flooded to Great Britain after the attacks, there most supportive ally being the United States would say that "the time has come to stand against terrorism and all it's evil. For to do that, we have to stand united or divided we fall". Soon the who was discovered, they were a group of English Muslims who were angry at the British and all other "Western Imperialists" meddling with the Middle East.

July 8th, 2005: Presidential posterboy of special addresses to the nation, President McCain would hold a special "talk" with the nation at 7 pm. McCain would reaffirm the United States solidarity with it's "friendship with Great Britain" and would declare that there "must be vigilance in these days of terrorism. With a terrible attack on London and a ever close call on a planned attack on New York, not just our nation but the world needs to be a vigilant watchmen against extremism".

July 9th, 2005: Conservatives in congress begin to call for the President to take a hard stance of the Iraqi Confederation to "clean up it's act and get on the ball, wiping up the remaining Baathists". McCain, wishing not to meddle in the affairs of a sovereign nation that the United States had delicately built up from the ground up during the Second Gulf War, fired back calling them "plucky men to the point of expansionists". Angered once again by "Pop Gun Johny", conservatives in congress were becoming ever polarized against President McCain, some radicals even going so far to talk about forming a "True Conservative" political party.

Well good sir, you shall receive an update!

July 14th, 2005: In another shocker of a choice by President McCain, the President would choose incumbent Senator Orrin Hatch to be the successor of Sandra Day O'Connor on the Supreme Court. His age aside, Hatch was an experience legislator and is Chairmen of the Senate Judiciary Committee. His nomination would infuriate a number of conservatives in Congress.

July 16th, 2005: On the 36th Anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, President McCain and reformers in Congress would push a bill that would increase funding towards NASA and such. Conservatives tried to stop this, calling it "like throwing cash at a broken mule". Reformers, Coalitionists and Democrats easily voted for "Aye" over the minority conservatives and their comparable minority vote for "Nay".

July 17th, 2005: President McCain would begin his "War on Earmarks" as he put it, vetoing the Partial Economic Growth Act "pork ladden" bill in his opinion. Some Democrats decried this as "mischievous" and "onesided" and that the bill was "a needed and integral congressional bill". Some of the opponents of the veto would try and do a go over but they failed with this course of action.

July 26th, 2005: The Space Shuttle Discovery is launched on its "Return To Flight" mission. This is the first space shuttle flight in nearly 2 1/2 years since the breakup of Space Shuttle Columbia on its return from mission on February 1st, 2003.

August 6th, 2005: The Tax Code Reform Act would pass through Congress. Another one of McCain's "Political Babies" had passed and he joyously stated that "this bill has been desperately needed for the American taxpayer and now I await the bill to arrive on my desk in due speed".

August 10th, 2005: President McCain signs the Tax Code Reform Act into law, in this latest victory for McCain, he received something that other bills that hadn't been there substantially, conservative GOP support. McCain would also say that he hoped that the bill would "unburden some of the stressful paperwork of paying taxes".

August 11th, 2005: President McCain and State Secretary Danforth would call on Afghanistan to begin to shift there Democracy and begin major reforms ranging from fighting corruption in the Government, implementing a possible more Parliamentary government with a President and Prime Minister and expanding a fair and balanced political rights to their citizens. This would become apart of the "Danforth Pledge".

August 23rd, 2005: Senator Hatch would be confirmed by Congress to become the first Mormon to sit on the United States Supreme Court. This would not be without a fight as conservatives mounted a fight against Hatch but this endeavour proved futile as there attack bounced off and there numbers of opposition decreased in this fight. Senator Romney of Massachusetts gave a rebuttal to the conservative opposition, saying "All you've done is obstruct needed men and women and bills that the American people crave all because of difference in the political spectrum with your President". Quieted for now, Hatch was confirmed as such.

August 24t-25th, 2005: In a cabinet meeting, President McCain and Energy Secretary Nader would agree that they needed to "fortify" the Gulf Coast against a quickly amassing storm that seemingly is barreling towards the coast. After questioned about this by other cabinet members and debating it, McCain, Nader and there side would get what they want, a fairly sized plan for possible evacuation of major coastal cities that are labeled "undefendable" against a strong storm that it could become. The part of the plans relied on FEMA and Director James Lee Witt to do his part and ready to mobilize aid to possible affected area's. Defense Secretary Hagel would ask "What was the name of the storm again?", Nader would reply flatly "Katrina".

August 26th, 2005: FEMA Director James Lee Witt began to quickly implement immediate planning and setting out the "McCain-Nader Plan" in full force. This was of course on the word of the President and also because Katrina was barreling now headlong towards New Orleans, the possible devastation was looming and the McCain Administration was quickly moving to cement a "impregnable" fortress along the Gulf Coast.

August 27th, 2005: President McCain would personally call Mayor Ray Nagin of New Orleans and ask him to begin the evacuation of the city. Mayor Nagin would agree with the President, seeing that the oncoming "storm that most of us have long feared" was coming. Later that day, Mayor Nagin issued a mandatory evacuation of the city and the creation of "Refuges of last resorts" for citizens that couldn't leave.

August 28th, 2005: After the success of the "Nagin Call", President McCain called up the Governor of Louisiana and several other state Governors and asked if they could send or spare any national guardsmen to aid in the evacuation of New Orleans. A dollop of guardsmen were set from Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee to aid in the evac of New Orleans. This would show only a fraction of the grandiose "McCain-Nader Plan".

August 29th, 2005: The "Storm of 2005" came with fury. The whole entire Gulf Coast seemed to be hunkered down and prepared for the worst things to be. Though with FEMA, the McCain Administration and in turn, the readied local area, many of the gulf states were prepared. As forecasted, Katrina began to spread wreck and destruction as it plowed towards New Orleans. After it was over, pictures filtered in, New Orleans almost look if it were in ruin, as people saw this, they equated those pictures to the whole Gulf Coast as a terror flooded them.

People in the McCain Administration would try and talk down the President from heading immediately to the affected area's, this failed as Vice President LeSueur wished to go to Mississippi to visit the affected area's as well. Now with Katrina loosing strength as it dug upwards around the Mississippi River and beyond, the flooding to New Orleans wouldn't be as bad as expected as a "thank god" went to the thrown up emergency levees by the Army Corps. Late into the 29th, President McCain wouldn't have festivities for his 69th birthday as he pressured his advisors to allow him to go to New Orleans. President McCain brashness on the subject to an immediate stop in New Orleans would have consequences in the days to come.

August 30th, 2005: Vice President LeSueur would visit his old Congressional District he represented, the 2nd Mississippi Congressional district to be exact. LeSueur would famously state "Even though the storm came and chaos came with it, we will rebuild. It's the American nature to rebuild and build ourselves up. Since the times of Reconstruction and the afteryears of World War 1 and 2 and the Great Depression, this nation and every state in the Union has the spirit of rebuilding and strive in their hearts".

August 31st, 2005: After being held back by his advisers to leave some time for the national guard to begin there phase into order in the wrecked New Orleans, President McCain would set his first steps in part of the city that wasn't flooded but still showed the awe destruction of the city. The looks McCain and his advisers gave were ones of fear and disbelief but that subsided as Mayor Nagin greeted the President and exchanged there pleasantries and went on a "tour" of sorts of the city. During this tour though, a shot rang out and Mayor Nagin was hit square in the chest, secret service sprung into action and spirited the President and the Mayor away as both Nagin and McCain were wearing bullet proof vests if something about those "snipers" proved true.

September 1st, 2005: After his short time in New Orleans, President McCain would return to Washington as Vice President LeSueur would stay for the time in his homestate of Mississippi. McCain would ready himself and later that night would issue a special address to the nation. "My friends, my citizens, on August 29th, 2005, New Orleans and Gulf Coast was devastated. Now we must triumph against decay and anarchy, we must rebuild our cities, our states, our lives. I do hope that with people like Mayor Nagin, that this rebuilding process can have solid leadership...".

September 2nd, 2005: Congress speedily passes the "Gulf Coast Recovery Act", which would give funds and extra aid to the affected Gulf Coast region after Hurricane Katrina. The GCRA would be passed with near unanimous "AYE" on the piece of legislation. President McCain would quickly sign the GCRA into law.

September 4th, 2005: Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions attacks President McCain as his "overbearing sense of pride and stubbornness will only lead to Americans being killed". Attacking on his brashness that nearly led Mayor Nagin to be killed in New Orleans by sniper fire. Sessions would add that "if nothing is changed, then there is no room for me in the Republican Party".

September 7th, 2005: A first for Egypt occurs as the Egyptian Presidential race would be a multi party race between the longtime incumbent Hosni Mubarak and the Tomorrow Party and New Wadf Party candidates. Election results would of course put incumbent President Hosni Mubarak back into power with 80% of the vote, compared to Ayman Nour's 14% and Numan Gomaa with 6%. With such a lopsided victory, both Nour and Gomaa would call out Mubarak for allegations of election fraud. Mubarak rebuffed these allegations, saying that "Democracy was beginning" in Egypt. Still protesters began to rally.

September 10th, 2005: The United States State Department under the wishes of Secretary Danforth, would issue a statement over the Egyptian Election, sighting that they were pleased to see democratic reforms coming to be but stressing that "Democracy isn't a one way street". Danforth himself would say that the Egyptians needed to show solidarity but allow peaceful protest to occur against their government, sighting that it was "one of the core essentials for a stable and working democracy".

September 11th, 2005: The Liberal Democrats under Junichiro Koizumi wins a landslide victory in the Japanese general election, gathering in a complete total of nearly 300 seats to the Democrats.

September 12th, 2005: A powered left sweeps into power over the conservative coalition in the Norwegian parliamentary election and would gain the majority and would allow to implace Jens Stoltenberg as Prime Minister.

September 14th-16th, 2005: One of the largest summits is held in New York City by the United Nations. This summit was cheerfully described as a "once-in-a-generation opportunity to take bold decisions in the areas of development, security, human rights and reform of the United Nations". This hope would also come with the hopes to reform the United Nations and to change it into an effective peacekeeping and humanitarian "machine". Over the course, practically every nation was represented and had some part of speaking time to the assembled nations, the suprise came when both President McCain and Secretary Danforth arrived in New York. Secretary General Kofi Annan would propose a major package of initiatives called the "Larger Freedom". McCain and numerous other world leaders would praise Annan for his motives to "protect the certain given humans rights". The "Larger Freedom" package would slide through shortly afterwords and was added to the UN charter.

September 20th, 2005: The fourth anniversary of the 9/20 attacks would take place. President McCain and former Presidents Bush, Perot and Carter would attend the event and would lay a wreath in honor of the anniversary. McCain would declare that "freedom has been tested in the past four years and is stronger than ever. However those who disregard the need for security and awareness are doomed to repeat tragedy".

September 23rd, 2005: French President Lionel Jospin would visit France's overseas territories, namely French Guiana and the small Carribean Island holdings. The visit would push for solidarity with Paris but would be peppered with hopes of independence from France in the coming future. This hope for the future wouldn't be seen with Jospin's eyes as shortly into his stop in Pointe-a-Pitre, a shot ran out after the words "Allah Akbar!" was shouted. Jospin went down as the crowd panicked and fear sprang up after the shot. As they rushed the French official to the nearest hospital, things were uncertain of why, or who did this, if Jospin would live and a deep gnawing terror in everyone asked, "Would this happen again?".

September 25th, 2005: It is confirmed that French President Jospin will live but he will be confined to a wheelchair as the gunshots had damaged Jospins spine and the French President may be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life after this attack.

September 26th, 2005: Condolences rain from the international community as the two closest allies to France, Britain and the US make similar statements issuing a cool condolence to Jospin but also make stern warnings to terrorists that more direct action would be taken if attacks like this continued.

Awesome, I really do wan't to see a President Lesuer...Maybe McCain's faces another serious bout with Melanoma and is forced to not seek a second term due to his health. Lesuer gets the nod in '08 possibly...

This is the third time I've tried to post my map on 1992 without Ross Perot. Here is my estimation.

Bush 308
Clinton 230

Bush wins OH, MI, IA, WI, LA, KY, TN, GA, NJ, CT, NV, CO, MT. Idk even know if I did all the states right but here it is.

Yes thanks I appreciate that. I've done the maps right before. The only thing is that I didn't have more than a state or 2 where less than 40% won.
