I nearly had a heart attack.

To have a heart attack over that (meaning you think it is possibly true) is probably worse than thinking that NBC would interrupt primetime TV to make a call on the Dumfries and Galloway seat in the British Parliamentary elections.

And yes, that run-on sentence was totally justified.
