I'm guessing Gore would be in a worse position than Obama is now, considering how much attention he's gotten over the last few years for his green movement.

And I suppose people wouldn't like the "sore loser".

I really don't know. It depends on how much he has turned off some moderates with his rapid shift left from the Al Gore of 2000.

I doubt that Gore has much of a favorable rating anymore, ever since it was discovered that he is a freaking hypocrite.  Republicans would have pounced on him for that.

Every politician is a hypocrite.

Not nearly as much as he is.  He does exactly the opposite of what he preaches and advocates.

that is the definition of hypocrisy, and it applies to many many people, especially politicians.

Palin wouldn't have been picked if Gore and Obama were the Democratic ticket this year. Maybe Pawlenty or someone else who wasn't in the running. Here's a map with a realistic Republic VP pick figured in, it would be about the same even with Palin. Gore is pretty much damaged goods.

What country did we invade? If I remember correctly we LIBERATED two countries. Big difference.

2000 Al Gore wins a cakewalk, eco-freak and climate alarmist Al Gore of 2008 loses in a cakewalk.  BTW, no way Obama runs as VP, that's a step down for the son of God

I could give you an example of other countries that have been "liberated", but I have a feeling you're not interested.

Without racism pulling him down, Gore wins 54-44.

There is no way in the world car manufacturing workers in Detroit vote for Gore. Michigan will be a firm McCain win. Indeed, the threat of Gore's environment policy would deliver much of the rustbelt to McCain quite conveniently. Iowa would like Gore's ethanol/biodiesel position, so he'd pick up there and possibly Missouri in exchange for Michigan and Pennsylvania. So he'll gain 18 electoral votes in exchange for 38 - hardly a winning start to the campaign.

Especially because you'd probably say Poland or France.

We liberated Iraq about as much as we liberated South Vietnam.  In both cases, we delayed/are delaying the inevitable.  That is, replacing one murdering thug with another murdering thug.

I was thinking more along the lines of Moldova, actually.
