Interestingly, the DOW has gained about 150 points since my first update.  Means it's down about 400 for the day. (it declined 250 at the start of the day).

It's like a bungee jumper now.

Gamblers are fascinating creatures, aren't they.

JJ's right.  It's dead, Jim.  Unless they reconsider.

Basically, looks to me like a revolt among liberal Dems/blue dog Dems and right-wing GOPers (which is most of the body).  I'll need to see the numbers for sure to make sure.

Have to be down at least a thousand or so.  We're nowhere near that, in fact in the past few minutes the markets have gone back up again slightly.

Trading stops for 30 minutes if the market drops 10%, two hours for 20%, and the rest of the day at 30%.
