That Gov. poll is making me wonder about this one...

I still don't quite get how this state is competitive. Is it all because of the neighboring state advantage?

It will probably be a repeat of the Clinton-Obama results with a larger lead for McCain. I just can't see Indiana voting for a Democrat at least this year.

I would assume that the change in voting is due to voter interest (Indiana had one of the most apathetic voting pop. in the Midwest in 2004) and the economy.

Probably doesn't help that McCain is completely ignoring Indiana. What an imbecile.

He's mainly been campaigning in PA, WI, and IA lately it seems. And he's been living in Ohio, a state he desperately needs.  He will eventually need to spend some time defending states like IN, NC, and FL.

I'm finding it much easier to visualize a situation where extra time spent in Ohio or Virginia saves the day for McCain than to visualize one where extra effort on Indiana makes the difference in the final result.

The crosstabs of this poll:

Interesting that 70% of Independents now think McCain is Bush Vol. 2 and even 40% of Republicans think so ...

The "battleground" state of Iowa demands his full attention, Aizen.
