boss tweed probably hasnt listened to country music too much.

it's like the people who say they dislike sardines, though theyve never eaten them.

Oh I have.

It's hard to travel from Suffolk County to Dade County multiple times by car and not hear country music.

When you're heading through the Carolinas and Georgia, all that's on the radio is country music and discussion on who will win the state HS football championship 9 months from now.

Sad stuff.

What's to like?

I will watch Arena Football, Canadian Football, the NFL, and college before I watch high school.

That may just be influenced by the fact that the district that I live in gets torched every HS football season.

i think hs football is much more exciting than the nfl.

the games actually mean something.  i love the community rivalries.

in the nfl you get over paid 'stars' pulling out cell phones after scoring a touchdown and defensive lineman dancing around after making a sack.

Johnny Cash grew up in the New Deal model Agricultural Cooperative of Dyess, Arkansas.

Chorus: I never picked cotton
Like my mother did
And my brother did
And my sister did
And my daddy died young, working in a coalmine

When I was just a baby
Too little for the cotton sack
I played in the dirt while the others worked
Till they couldn't straighten up their backs
And I made myself a promise
When I was old enough to run
That I'd never stay for another day
In that Oklahoma sun
And (chorus)

Folks said that I grew up early
And the farm couldn't hold me then
So I stole ten bucks and a pickup truck
And I never went back again
And it was fast cars and whiskey
Long legged girls and fun
I had everything that money could bring
And I took it all with a gun
And (chorus)

It was saturday night in Memphis
When a redneck grabbed my shirt
He said: Go back to your cotton sack
I left him lieing in the dirt
And they'll take me in the morning
To the gallows just outside
And in the time I got there ain't a hell of a lot
That I can look back on with pride
But (chorus)
(chorus)

The mines in Oklahoma were some of the most dangerous in the U.S
