Besides being smart, beautiful, and articulate, thank you for those very applicable adjectives, she is definitely a freedom fighter.

Not only that, she is one who will stand up for the rights of the everyday American, Main street, not Wall Street.

Maybe, but she's running with the elitist McCain for whom, nowadays, only the little people should pay more than there fair share of taxes. Duh!

Saintly Sarah may well have been a compelling candidate for "change" [at the top of the ticket]

Ever since she went personal with her false stack of lies that Obama is tied to terrorists, I have no hesitation in saying she IS a "horrible person" .

I think she’s a bit dim, as I’ve said before. I think she’s be out of her league as president. And she has a bit  of a edge to her, don’t you think? She can flash that smile while she pulls out the knife.

That said, I like her, honestly. I suspect she plays up her hockey mom act, but it works for me. I like that energetic outsider style she’s got going on. Keep in mind I’m the type of person who probably would have found Ted Bundy charming, aside from his little serial killing hobby. But really, I think Palin’s a generally good person whose not afraid to play rough if it helps her get ahead. And I don’t find  a thing wrong with that. Now, some of her views are a little kooky, and I’d probably support Romney and definitely support Paul over her (Not to mention probably vote Biden if it was him versus her) but all in all, I think she’s a breath of fresh air and wish more politicians were as seemingly down to earth as her.

As a person, I don't have anything against her -

As a politial figure she scares the bejesus out of me.

As was said, "she's Bush in pumps" - intellectually incurious, dogmatic, does not believe in active separation of Church and state (what she believes in is NOT separation).

OK, Obama is inexperienced - as is Palin - but at least I see in Obama traits of someone who can learn quickly.... Palin's never needed to.

I swear if the "folks" end up deciding this election on the "beer test (or something like it)" then they deserve EVERYTHING that happens.

well, "Horrible Person" doesn't technically mean Horrible Person. It's just the template we use to gauge opinions of people here.

no, the fact that she exists is too much for me to handle.  she reminds me of so many people that have been directly responsible for so many things of the things gone wrong with my life.  I hate her as much as I have ever hated a public figure.

She's just another politician trying to win an election. She's also trying to do it in a unique way. Her skills are average in all(debating, speaking) but this idea that she's a Washington outsider who's going to "shake things up" is just ridiculous.

In spite of the fact that I don't agree with her I don't have much against her.

I will admit that I have been actively rooting for McCain to lose ever since he selected Palin, which is slowly translating into a "vote for Obama" impulse although I'm not quite at that stage yet. I suppose it's sort of analogous to me rooting against the Green Bay Packers; I'll root against them but I'm not going to get up early enough to actually watch the start of their game (unless they're playing the Bears) and I won't make obnoxious noises to annoy my floormates when Rodgers throws an interception and so on. But I will check the score on ESPN on occasion though and, if they're losing, a slight smirk appears on my face.

That's the problem with us saying "freedom fighter" or "horrible person." It's confusing to people who haven't seen it before.

Maybe it is time to get back to "positive" and "negative." The New Speech sometimes consumes communication,  and becomes more inside the insiders' lingo.

That's kind of how I feel. Yes, she's totally unqualified for the job she's in, but that's the American way, People don't recuse themselves from opportunities they don't merit, even if it would be wise to do so.
