Answer the poll assuming that Palin would be able to carry off a Tina Fey impersonation.  If you want to discuss what the effect would be if Palin left a bad impression on SNL, discuss it below.

It would be a terrible idea, and would fall flat if she tried.  Of course, Lorne Michaels probably wouldn't let her on anyway, so it's a moot point.

Given all the other polticos he's allowed on to make cameos, I'd say its safe to assume he'd allow at least that.

Since I said to answer the question assuming that Palin could do a credible Fay impersonation, I take it that your first comment means that you think there is no way it works comedically or politically, regardless of talent.

Since it's so close to election day, by law, wouldn't SNL have to give Joe Biden equal time on the show?

If true, then gven Biden's tendencies, I imagine Michael would refuse to let Palin on if Biden had to be on as well.   Biden's not a good fit for SNL as it's only a 90 minute show. Wink

Bad idea for the campaign.  But a GREAT idea for Palin after the election.  If she shows she can laugh at herself, it will start her down the road of political rehabilitation.

People like George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole, Al Gore and even entertainers like Celine Dion have been brutally lampooned on SNL -- but have gone on to appear on the show or reference the show's caricatures of them favorably.  It makes them look like the rest of us, rather than petulant brats like Little Lord Phuckpants.

Nah, her appearance would just be spoofed by Tina Fey.
