I'd hate to see a guy who seceded from this country get promoted to represent us. I'm not saying that Moderate is attacking Patriotism, which he clearly isn't. I just think Hahemite is the wrong guy for the job since he just cuts and runs if things don't go exactly the way he wants them to. Someone who refers to a leader of a region as a Nazi, authoritarian, dictators or jokes because they disagree with them doesn't need to be representing this country. If he does get confirmed, I hope you guys don't "upset him" or he'll sell us all out.

I shall be voting against this nominee.  Anyone who has seceded from the country should not be allowed to represent our nation to foreign countries.  What kind of message does that send?
That's a question in case the nominee didn't notice
Looks like the nominee will simply dodge the non-softball questions

I ask again:
Why should we let you, a person who is a treasonist to this great country of ours, represent us to the world when you renounced your citizenship?  What kind of message does that send?

Rhetorical questions.

Absent compelling circumstances, I defer to the executive on his choice of appointments. If one does not like them, there is a remedy - pick a new executive! Having said that, perhaps Hashemite might wish to make a fuller statement as to the j'accuse levied against him.

Actually, my ball was spinning meanly, and as I'm also the umpire on it, I say it was a strike. What you're doing is letting him walk.

I don't understand.  First, we have a country full of people who think secession is an evil beast, then we have a senate that thinks secession is awesome and that those who secede should be rewarded handily.
