I read it already, and it's full of typical Democratic attacks against McCain.  Nothing new here, folks.

I read the article; it's a little over the top, but I wonder how much of it is true.

Jann Wenner is a socialist, what would you expect.  This is the same magazine that digitally enlarged Al Gore's c*ck on it's cover.

Ya, its leitmotif is that McCain spent most of his time getting drunk and laid, while finding a bit of time to crash planes inbetween, with Daddy and Grand Dad cleaning up his messes.

And it's this kind of stuff I utterly abhor in politics.  Whatever mistakes John McCain made, and I am damn sure he made fewer than I did at that age, he served.  And not in some cushy stateside setup, but in combat.

It's a sleazebag move to attack ANYONE who defended this country for their service.  Attack his voting record.  Attack his policy.  Whatever.  But if he served and suffered for this country -- as John Kerry, Max Cleland and yes, even Duke Cunningham did, then that aspect of their life is off limits.  Excepting when we pause to say thank you.  Doesn't mean they get a free pass on future crimes and misdemeanors.  Cunningham belongs in jail.  But his service to this country was heroic.

So what? The people who write Rolling Stone probably sat around smokin' weed and burning their draft cards in the late 60s because they are cowards...pure and simple cowards...whimps...lightweights.

Most (I'd bet all) of the people who write Rolling Stone weren't alive in the late '60s.
