Ugh... I just don't understand how she is doing so badly in the polls. She has been a better governor than at least Locke and he had a good amount of support. Is it just sympathy for Rossi left over from 2004??

You appear to be alone in this perspective.

If this isn't defying political gravity, I don't know what is.  I just don't understand why Rossi isn't down by 10% at this point...

Just 1% of Republicans are undecided.  I guess we can call that 1% the Terri Schiavo voting bloc Tongue

This is one of the most polarized gubernatorial elections in recent elections. I don't think that statement is one bit hyperbolic.

Because the only argument for Gregoire is that she totally isn't the Republican?

Well, this same poll has Obama up by 16 so I'm now worried. I hold Washington in very high esteem... I pray they won't disappoint me come election night.

Down one while Obama is up sixteen? Awesome. Let's go, Dino!

Gregoire has the same problem as McCain. She's an ugly old person against a young handsome ethnic with an exotic name.

Anyway, this has definitely been the most vicious campaign I've ever seen. I'm glad I have TiVo, otherwise I would have to watch their awful commercials. I thought Gregoire's crying mom commercial was bad, but Dino outdid her with his child-rapist-watching-the-kiddies-getting-ice-cream ad.

Sounds like a fun race (not).

Gregoire has gotten more done in one term than Locke did in two.  However, her PR skills are poor next to Locke's.

Run ads, sent out mailers, put up billboards...

This entire election comes down to turnout. I would like to say that the Democrats have a superior turnout machine, but based on the personal experience I've had with the Gregoire campaign I just can't say that with a straight face.

It's not progress if it's bad.

From a conservative point of view many of her policy successes would be "bad," but they are accomplishments nevertheless.  I can list them out if anyone wants.  But what conservatives and Rossi worshippers think about what she has done isn't the problem.  Many people just think she hasn't done anything -- because she has not communicated effectively.

I wrote a blog entry comparing Obama's numbers on the subsamples to Gregoire's.

Over here all the Billboards read:
"Don't let Seattle steal this election too. Vote Rossi."

Isn't that just great? Oh and on a 6-7 mile stretch of road here in Spokane I saw 5 Rossi Billboards.

His campaign is built on division and hatred.

Funny that he's far more of a Seattleite/King Countian (yes I made that word up) than Gregoire.

I find Rossi loathsome.  Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see his political career ended.

Actualy the only argument for Rossi is that the Democrats have been in power for 24 years, and he came really really close in 04. Rossi will win easy and I have to say that I am disgusted with my state.

No, there's an area in eastern Washington that he will carve out as "New Washington." He got the idea from someone on the Internets.

Ugh.... I would be in that area, it would become simular to Idaho. Do you really want another Idaho??

Oh and Rossi sucks.
