I said in the second debate that I thought people were underestimating Obama for that type of format and were highly overestimating McCain.  Couldn't put my finger on why, but it turns out that in a town hall debate, he tries to act like its a real town hall.

For this debate, I should point out:  Historically, Obama has been at his worst in debate performances when sitting down.  McCain has put in some very good performances sitting down, but some not-so-good ones also.

We'll shall see.

But on the inverse, Obama has his best relative debate performances in economic discussions.

True.  Of course, I think style and surroundings are more important than debate topics, but I tend to look at things in an odd way sometimes.

what I'm about to post is about the debate coverage I just watched a little CNN and a little bit
of fox good god, do they suck on CNN there is nobody even worth listening except for Paul Begala and Donna Brazil.  They Have on Gloria Bugler, David Gergan, Bill Bennett and some other dude and they keep saying absoulltley nothing its pretty clear they don't have any Idea what there hell talking about. I switch over to fox and Bill O' Reily and Karl Rove is on  good god does it get any more asinine  and sleazy then these two guy's, then  Billy gives that stupid fake smirk at the end like if some how he does that people will realize that he isn't completely full of S@#T, just when I think it couldn't possibly  get any worse Bill O'Reily Say's up next we will here from dick Morris.

They keep showing a 2004 map on John King's machine with Wyoming blue

It's screwing with my OCD.  I want to tap that sucker to red.

You don't need to watch the debate, here's what will happen....

McCain will attack Obama and walk around like there's a fire in his ass.  Obama will say nonsensical things will long pauses in between.  McCain will more substance and win the debate, the media will immediatley annoint Obama the winner and concoct polls to say the same

Oh, I hope. I've always wanted to see someone stand up and start walking around during a sit down debate.

Really?  What a shame McCain's ADHD and inability to sit down was the best part of the last debate

I think you are completely correct that if McCain were to get up and walk around like he did last time the media would definitely coronate Obama the winner.

The media will coronate Obama the winner tonight no matter what happens unless something happens that takes them off guard.

In which case they may consider declaring a "tie".

I'm nearly pissing my pants.  If McCain doesn't win the debate substantially, we are going to have "tax cuts for 95% of Americans".  Oh God.

That depends: Expectations for McCain are low after the first two debates, so in that sense it would be easier to be proclaimed the winner.

The counter to that of course is that the pundits are declaring that McCain has to hit a knockout to stay in the race.

As we all know the media do not judge debate winner based on substance, but rather expectations.
